My father-in-law had a Texaco garage, and my wife has hinted for quite a while that I build a version of it. Well, there is no way that he would ever have let his garage get as run down as the one I built. Sorry, Earl, but I couldn't help myself. I like to model decrepit things.

Ed, a build like the produce one is a lot of fun, especially when itís time to scenic it. I spent some time looking at real places selling produce for ideas. I will be the first to admit that I copy stuff that other modelers have done, but I try hard to add a few new things too. I think you will enjoy building it.

Ed, Iíve never been to the CC, probably because I spend most of my time when in Oakmont at the mystery book store and the bakery. Wow, what a place the bakery is!

Thanks, Ted. I suppose I should try to organize the Flickr pages better, but it probably will never happen. Every time I look at Marioís pages, I wonder how in the world he found time to create them. I have spent many evenings there and havenít seen it all yet. How do you do it, Mario? Iím sure glad you do, though.

Terry, I just spent over an hour looking at your site and Mario's site taking in your wonderful modeling. Your take on Perkins Produce is very inspirational. I built that (HO) in the 80's and just got the O scale (Morgan) version. I will strive to come close to your effort. Hell may as well go for broke. If I come half way, I will be over joyed.

Setting high standards results in stunning work. I would expect nothing less from a Pa. gentleman. I used to live in the greater Philadelphia area. But I love the greater Pittsburgh area. Especially Oakmont C C.
Your site is a joy to look at.

Ed, the Ackle Shed is O scale and might be the favorite build of mine. Fortunately, Mr. Ackle is willing to share his techniques. Unfortunately for me, he works in a much larger scale, so I had a lot of frustrating time trying to duplicate things he does.

Haven't been able to find original words in this dictionary that others haven't said a million times over.

I can't figure how to swipe left the cover yet. I don't know what to do since mamma took away my I-phone for watchin to much train porn.

So I'll say it again-

Wow! Simply put, magnificent! The trees and shrubs look so real and the weathering is amazing. Truly an excellent piece of art. I will subscribe to your Flickr page as well.
