A 1/35 scale U-Boat Diorama
I am going on a new journey, into 1/35 scale. Dave Revelia is planning a 1/35 sub-pen diorama inspired by the photo below.
The people that built this diorama are asking an astronomical price for it. I’d have to trade all 3 of my Lamborghini’s for it.

Dave thanks for the update.
That is an excellent looking crane. And the backdrop isn't to bad either.

I guess I missed your photo of lifting the torpedo last October. I'm only a very junior crane operator, but: I'll lift a rail if one end is a little heavy and it's going to stay within a few feet of the ground so my helpers can balance and steer it But given all the packaged fun represented by a torpedo, if one end came up first I'd set it right back down, gently. In your finished scene, I think the Mechanikerobermaat in charge of loading would also have seamen on the deck and dock, each with a line tied off to the rear end to guide and stabilize it.

I have been following this thread, and even though I haven't posted lately, doesn't mean I'm not interested in your excellent work. I like what you and Dave have added to your bucket list of models to complete. It just gets better and better.
