Posted - 07/11/2012 : 8:31:28 PM I first visited Richards On30 layout last year as part of the NMRA Aust Convetion layout tours, and was by blown away by the level of detail and visual overload. Certainly one of the finest and most detailed layouts you'd ever see. And all in 4' x 10'. I finally had some time this week for another visit and a chance to take some photo's without a crowd. Hope you enjoy.

Posted - 07/23/2012 : 06:19:52 AM No more pics of Stony Creek, but these last few shots I took on the day of my visit. First one is a small diorama he did of a wharf scene.
The last two are a new small layout Richard has started. It's an O scale version of live steamers, so he's using N scale diesels as a base to build up as O scale ride on loco's. Realy lovely sky that he's painted. A true artist.

Also here's a link to Laurie Greens site that has some older picture of Stony Creek http://www.lauriegreensweb.com/Richards%20Contents/Richards%20Contents.html

Posted - 07/21/2012 : 10:08:10 PM Here's some overall shots. Some from last year and some new ones.

 Same view, new buildings.

In these last two pics you'll notice an oversize loco on the tracks. This is an On30 gas mech that Richard was showing me. He has converted it to a G scale mining engine. Gn18 scale I believe. Someone will tell me if I'm wrong.
