Posted - 04/27/2012 : 4:25:36 PM Hello Everybody
My name is John Moore and I would like to present my railway "The Fort Wilson and Cold Lake Railroad".
This is a totally freelance and ficticious railway set around the 1950's and 60's. The reason for selecting this timescale is that I love American cars of this era and this gives me the opportunity of combining two loves, NG railways and cars.
I like to scratchbuild if possible and put forward for the groups consideration a few photo's of my models.
The railroad is not finished, nor is it ever likely to be as I am in the habit of deciding I don't like an area and taking a saw to it and starting it again. At the moment the harbour scene is suffering this indignity and the lighthouse in the photo's is what I am working on at the moment and will be the first for this scene when it's finished.
If there is anyone out there who would be interested in joining me on my journey, or indeed discussing my models or methods then it would be great to hear from you.
Regards to all

Posted - 12/26/2012 : 06:42:59 AM Indeed Happy Christmas to everyone!
Only just managed to catch up with the many threads on here, and duly noted Andy - I will get down to Southshore before too long! Work has been manic on the run up to Christmas - just about managed to get up to Warley which didn't result in any On30 purchases unfortunately.
Anyway hope everyone has had an enjoyable Christmas break - John glad to hear you are over the worst of closing down the business, and hope to see some more updates here when time permits.
Cheers,
Stephen |

Posted - 12/14/2012 : 5:10:05 PM Yes, I sure would like to get over to you one day. For some reason although I am now fully retired I seem to have less time than before but I guess that will pass, hopefully get Christmas over and I will get over some time, hope so anyway.
I hear that you are doing well with your new business, good luck with it, it would be great if you made a fortune out of it. I actually discovered how to make a small fortune out of being in business and that was to start with out a big one!! (fortune that is!!!!) Good luck with it anyway, just remember, what you put into it is in direct proportion to what you will get out.

Posted - 12/10/2012 : 1:10:28 PM John, I know just how you feel. My enthusiasm fluctuates from one interest to another on a regular basis. When you're ready to continue modeling again you're thread will be here waiting for you. |

Posted - 12/10/2012 : 12:44:20 PM Thanks Arthur, that's really nice of you to say that and I really appreciate it.
I'm quite sure that my enthusiasm will return at sometime, hopefully in the not too distant future, and I will certainly then carry on from where I left off.
Until then, very best regards

Posted - 12/09/2012 : 4:48:09 PM Hi everyone.
Sorry that this post came to a rather sudden and abrupt stop a while back but truth be known I have quite suddenly lost interest and haven't touched a model for a couple of months or so, this is not untypical of me I tend to be "all or nothing" and tend to have periods of intense activity with a total drop off every so often. Actually I wound up a business at that time which turned out to be a very stressful occurrence which may have something to do with my sudden lack of interest.
So I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who followed my modelling efforts, I hope you enjoyed it and thanks for all your kind comments and watch this space 'cos "I'll be back"!!!
Regards and very best wishes to all John |
