I'm wondering if there is an interest in posting photos of HOn30 projects on this forum. To get the ball rolling, here are some shots of two of my recent builds.

A tank car kitbashed from an AHM Old-Time tank car and a Chivers flatcar kit

A reefer built from an old Chris Cardinal kit

Jeff the little engine did not run very well at all,but it was not run enough to give it a chance. The layout consisted of a small circle of track of about a 4 foot diameter.

Nice work on the caboose.

How well does the 2-4-2T run?

Ray, that caboose looks great.

I built this F & C HOn30 caboose for my friend Cliff Coutinho's HOn30 small HOn30 diorama layout built by Bob Van Gelder of South River Model works. It is incorporated into Cliff's Old Colony and South Shore layout MR 10-2004 and GMR 2009

So here is the fence.

Well that holiday is past and I had time to build a fence to contain the sheep. Balsa wood posts and 80# card stock for rails. Still working on the backdrop. Dave Frary has a nice tutorial on the kit forum that is giving me inspiration. He sure has lots of ideas.

Good thought. I will consider all ideas. I've started to repaint the backdrop because the colors were not what I wanted. I also will practice painting background trees. Wish me luck.

Thanks for the info. I'll check out FOS's site.

While rr-line was down and because all the political stuff on tv I had time to work on my backdrop. Didn't like my first attempt so I've redone a few things. Also worked on some road and groundcover details. There is great pleasure to be able to work on small things while larger projects plod forward.
Here is a recent photo.

Jeff
The red structure I think you are asking about belongs to the left in the picture. It is a kit from FOS Model Structures. I must say an excellent kit. It can be built as two different buildings. Before I assembled it I made patterns so I could build a second structure from styrene. The first build is a lobster house and the second - red one you asked about - I made into a hardware store. If you go to the FOS site it is listed as Hoopers.

David,

What kit is the red building in the foreground of one of your modules?
