Posted - 08/31/2011 : 7:29:41 PM Hi All:
George and I were talking on the phone the other day and we were discussing the new kit. He was kinda worried about how the plaster walls would ship through the mail. He asked if I would consider building one in advance of the release this October. I said I would be honored to do so. So he put a kit together for me and it arrived today intact. Of course I immediately took it out of the box to see what was there. All the usual great things, castings, signs and etc. This will be my first plaster kit. I hope I will be able to do it justice. I guess I will just have to follow George's great instructions. I will be reading a lot tonight. There are four full sheets of instructions in the kit. This year's kit promises to be a little better than the rest due to the new media George has supplied us with this year. I think I am very much going to enjoy this project. here is a photo of the contents of the kit.

Posted - 10/03/2011 : 09:44:21 AM Hey Karl - This is truly amazing! The little details you've added are fantastic. I love the subtle rust streaks you added for the wall bolls and along the roof. The color for all the old wood is spot on. I'm sure as with all things in this scale, the pics just can't do justice for this. Great job - truly great.

Posted - 09/30/2011 : 5:30:47 PM Yehuda's is here! Yehuda's is here! Thought they weren't shipping 'til October, but it was sittin' on the porch when I got home. If I can do just half as nice a job as you're doing, Karl, I'll be pretty durn happy! Got three projects going already, so it'll be a while before I start. Enjoying your build! Dave K. |

Still up after a long drive today, and just read through your entire build. What a beautiful job you have done here! I especially like the way the main structure bricks were painted and they turned out very nice. Well done! Rich |
