Posted - 04/04/2011 : 3:28:59 PM In an effort to both honor Carl's contributions to the hobby and to add to his already awesome website we are going to try this. What we are looking for is layouts that fit his goals, meaning no bigger than 4-6 feet regardless of scale (even smaller would be better) and no dioramas. Other than that pretty much anything goes. You can post either a completed layout or construction photos as you build one. Just remember that by posting in this thread you are giving permission for your content to be used freely on/at his website. It is still your property and can be used by you anywhere else you want as well.
Now let's see some very tiny layouts!

Posted - 03/02/2013 : 3:44:11 PM I wasn't complaining, gents. I just wondered what happened and wanted to draw attention to this topic again. Hopefully I may contribute here a bit in the next weeks... Armin |

Posted - 02/27/2013 : 06:49:16 AM Site updates, though infrequent are now becoming a bit more regular - I'm currently working on a small transloading yard - but it is nowhere near ready to show - too darn cold to be outside in the garage building baseboards, here in the Land of the Frozen Haggis |

Posted - 02/26/2013 : 10:45:38 PM Armin sometimes these forums can get quiet as life sometimes gets in the way of our modeling. Rest assured Carl is very highly thought of here and always will be.

Posted - 02/26/2013 : 4:05:24 PM Since over half a year no further contributions to this topic...? Has this effort to honor Carl's contributions become dead...? Questions Armin |

Posted - 06/23/2012 : 7:29:57 PM You can continue to post in this thread but doing so means you are giving them permission to use the pics and info of your layout on Carl's site Larryc. Good to see you posting again! |

Posted - 06/23/2012 : 4:47:39 PM Hi Everyone,
Been a long time since I last posted, been quite busy. Was saddened when I heard of Carl Arendt's passing, he was a genius when it came to Micro Layouts. After spending many hours on his site, I was very happy to see some other people taking over the site. THANK YOU.
Thought that I would make a "shoe-box" layout in his memory. So here is the start of "C.A. Farms":

Will most likely post a separate thread for this so as not to tie up this one. Stay tuned.

Posted - 05/01/2012 : 12:05:14 AM thanks, guys, it's good to be here, yet another refugee from ..another forum:)
Looking at that pic reminds me I never did ballast the little inglenook on the bottom. For the record, the layout is 12"x43" and both tracks were powered by DCC. Thanks for hosting and your kind comments |

Posted - 04/30/2012 : 1:42:42 PM So glad to see Mr. Arendt's spirit alive and well. I made this with him in mind a few years ago, but he passed before I sent him pics.
