Posted - 04/01/2010 : 11:50:37 AM Mike Chambers has been a HUGE part of the Railroad Line Forums since its inception. Thus I have added Mike C's Railroad home page to the list of rotating banners and renamed the Craftsman Corner in his memory.

Posted - 05/08/2010 : 08:24:17 AM I've only met MikeC through a Google search for weathering wood. His craftsmanship, kindness, genuine passion for the hobby and desire to see you succeed stands out in all his comments. I will always remember, his advice, his formula #9, his avatar, and his "I'm a busy man...." signature. We'll see you later Mike. |

Posted - 05/08/2010 : 04:23:35 AM I am flabbergasted to hear about the loss of our friend. He was my first fine scale modeling mentor back in the days of "The Gauge" in it's heyday when Mike went by the nick of Casey Feed-water and I was knocked out with his craftsmanship. I regret never meeting him face to face. What a wonderful man and a swell human being.
This news makes us so sad in our hearts.
My wife Deborah and I will always remember him. |

OK Jeff, now that I know the real problem I'd be willing to bet that you are using either Mozilla or Firefox. Read the last link that Bruce posted. If that doesn't solve your problem let us know. |

Bruce, he must have already been logged on since he did post that last message.

Posted - 04/11/2010 : 4:45:51 PM Can we add Mike's famous tag line "I'm a busy man..." to the description for "Mike Chamber's Craftsman Corner"?

Posted - 04/05/2010 : 8:03:00 PM You know Joe, I was ready to quit this outfit a couple of times but some words of wisdom and common sense from Mike soon put me on the right track. I think that your tribute ideas are right on. I think that I've got most of his entries on paper but there isn't enough paper in the world to put down what this outfit AND me owe him. Now, because he gave me so much incentive, I'm going back to the train room and do some things that I have been putting off for way too long. Thanks Joe and you too Mike. |

Posted - 04/03/2010 : 4:43:43 PM I was so saddened to hear that Mike passed. I knew him for years and learned a lot from him, both about modeling and being a man and administrator. He was a truly skilled craftsman yet he shared his ideas and methods with anyone who asked. Some of his modeling and photography was indistinguishable from real. The model railroad community as a whole lost an important member and mentor. Fred Miller |
