One of our members was looking for a B-B-Q sign in another thread, so I thought I would post these here for anyone to see and use.

John, the duke site is full of interesting old adds. Thanks for letting us know about its existence. I've found an old menu that might interest Tommathews.

Frederic
Do you have the address/link or the main menu or the adds? Sounds like a fantastic resource.
Thanks

Peter, you may start from there
http://library.duke.edu/digitalcollections/eaa/browse
At least one of John's ads comes from the third collection : Advertising Ephemera (1853 - 1921)
The menu comes from the first collection : Broadsides (1840 - 1921) (first page)

While I'm not sure if this site has been posted before, I'd call it the mother lode of vintage signs. I could spend hours here enjoying the auction material and saving more than a few along the way. Best of all...the material will change with each new auction! Take a look...you are bound to find some real goodies here:

Have fun!
