Like David, I very much enjoy scratchbuilding HO structures based on photos of various FSM kits or George Sellios' original ideas.

The one illustrated below I consider to be "in the fashion of" FSM's Jeffries Point Stave and Heading Co., altered slightly in its dimensions and footprint to fit the intended space I have for it on my layout. This shot of my "Boston Corners" Stave & Heading Co. was taken outdoors, rather than on my layout.

John, that is beautiful!!! I especially like the loading dock scene - everything on it looks "right". I also like the amount of weathering you did - not too much, but enough to show this building has been around for quite awhile. Could we see more pictures???

John, that is an excellent model. I agree with the amount of weathering. It looks just right. Very nice photograph too.
The trees in the backround add to the realism.

Really a nice job! You seem to have a great "feel" for proportion and more imagination than me. So far I've basically made reasonable facsimles of the originals. I hope to be able to free lance a bit more in my future builds such as you have.

John, I agree with the previous comments. Right from the beautifully rusted chimney to the ground it all works beautifully. Your photography and prespective is great.

Here's a more face-on view of the structure for your perusal:

Outstanding modeling, John.

It looks like a real building in those pix.

John,

Your "Boston Corners" is a beautiful model. Each time I look at it, I expect to see a truck roll up to load or unload. Well done!!
