I was happy with the kitbash..using Bachmann 44 tonner as a drive and part of the shell to mount Climax. Question..if i splurge and find a Bachmann 3rd generation 44 tonner with newer gear set up will it be drop in..so does the drive fit older Bachmann 44 tonner shells. Thanks again Louis.

Hi, and thanks Steve. Always glad to help anyone with any project. Not always what people want to hear, but I try to always be truthful in what I know.
Here is the new drive in an older 44 Shell.

This oil burner Climax chop was done by Steve.
He sent me this picture, and with his permission, I'm posting it for all to see.
I'm sure you will all agree with me when I say he did an outstanding kitbash with this locomotive.
He turned the MDC Roundhouse Climax into an oil burner, and fitted the chassis of a Bachmann 44 Tonner to fit as the drive unit. Well done Steve!
