Have added in the columns, Just used balsa. Gets rid of that blank look.

Undercoated with rattle can primer

2 coats of Tamiya Deck Tan. This is a great concrete colour.

Now I can start the weathering. |

All that tedious work paid off Rob, you've got a great looking platform for your diorama there. And yes, that color made a fine looking concrete color. |

Thank you Frank, Pete, Louis, Greg, Mike, Carl & Bill. Yep, I'm very happy with it. That Tamiya deck tan is my go to colour for concrete.
I've now weathered it. Did an overall black wash, to dirty it up & highlight the shadows, then used brown and orange for some colour, and then the lower half was given a green wash to represent the waterline.

Rob that slimy weathering job stinks, but I mean that in a good way. |

Thanks Mike, Michael, Frank & Louis. Yes slime is good.
Have now made up a base for this all to sit on. Just used some scrap melamine board I had. I carved in concrete joint lines, and weathered. Have also added a footpath to the top edge.

Wall section in place

I've started framing it to give it a finished look. Just balsa sheet. Now have to make a caisson lock gate, and keel blocks for the sub to sit on.
