Morning

Rick thanks for the coffee.

Yes we lucked out Rick. And at least they didn't destroy the supermarkets here!!

Weather today sunny/35. RF/23!

Maybe just maybe some time working on my lathe. I have all the little gears to put together on the outside of the headstock.

Paul if Rick and I lived closer we'd be more than happy to watch you shovel!!

Everyone have a great day!!

Good evening from the fireplace at Geezers Lounge. Tossed a few logs on that fire, getting toasty. We saw Knives Out and it was a good not great movie. Itís a who dun it type and could have been very good. BUT, Daniel Craig, a good Englishman was speaking in a deep southern accent. Still worth seeing.

The Eagle Rare and Coors Light are available tonight along with some very cold diet sodas. Take a load off and toss a log in before you leave.

Have a great night

I'm late Tom but I'll sit here with you.

Eagle rare for me neat.

The fire feels good its a cold night here in Jersey 27.

Nothing done on the lathe today just lazy I guess.

I'll throw a couple of logs on when I leave should keep it warm till Rick gets the coffee going in the morning.

Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and Cherry Diet Dr. Pepper are ready to go.

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. West wind 6 to 9 mph.

Jerry, thanks for keeping the place warm.
Threw on a few more logs so it stays toasty till everyone else shows up.

Missed out on Toms libations.
It was my nephews birthday yesterday and went with him and my brother to Uno's for some food, stouts and a little bourbon.
Came home and fell asleep.

TGIF [:-party]

Probably a nap when I get home and then time in front of the stereo.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning,

Rick, thanks for coffee. I need it this morning.

Rick, if it's not too personal, what genre of music do you listen to? Happy weekend.

It's cold at 32F on the Brazos, but headed to 70F this afternoon. Good weather to decorate a Christmas float for the Cleburne Whistle Stop parade on Friday.

Not much else to report. I pulled a 10 hour workday at the lodge yesterday. Came home, had a martini and fell asleep in the chair. I am tired this morning.

Have fun,
Mike

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for the coffee. Its nice an warm in here.

Weather in South Jersey cloudy/32. Later mid 40's.

Not sure what's on the agenda today.
But I've really been lazy with finishing the lathe.
So I should try to finish that today...

Everyone have a great day!!

Jerry

Good morning, earlier then usual for me but most of the Crew is here. Not sure why I am having trouble sleeping and again so last night. I hope itís just a phase.
Weather in So. Wisconsin will be high 30ís but with 10 tp 20mph winds. Wind chills possibly into the teens, blah! Thanks Rick for getting us moving this morning.
There is a UNOís in Chicago and now the Midwest. A great deep dish pizza place.

Interesting Mike as to how Rick replies to your music question. I think heíll say most everything. I will listen to anything except dirty Rap but have been listening lately
at my bench to Elton John, Madonna and Whitney Houston. A few years ago at work I sent an email asking staff to bring a CD of music they listen to. Of 400 staff,
I recorded almost 700 CDís to a couple external drives. I made those available to anyone who wanted copies. I have way over with my continuing purchases 10000 songs. I
have trouble listen to Blue Grass but that is about it. Enjoy your day.

THE UNOís is in Chicago, worth a trip to Chicago for no other reason than to go there. Terrific, unique, hole in the wall with life altering pizza.

Good morning everyone.

Coffee, hot water for tea and Cherry Diet Dr. Pepper are ready to go.

Partly sunny, with a high near 44. West wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Karl and Carl, thanks for stopping in and contributing.
The welcome mat is out for both of you any time.

We have many excellent pizza restaurants here in Central Jersey and have grown up with thin crust pizza.
The pizza at Uno's is OK, had one the other night, but still prefer thin crust.

As for music, I do all my listening via streaming through Tidal. (https://tidal.com)
Tidal is a giant virtual juke box and costs $20 a month.
Everything streams at CD quality or better.
Through Tidal I have discovered many new bands I never heard of.
Each Friday I check out new releases in the indie/rock genre and will play a few tracks of each.
If I like what I hear I'll add it to my Favorites.
I don't listen to Rap or Jazz but will very rarely play a classical string quartet.
If you go the the Your Favorite Songs thread in the Crew Lounge (http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=34765) you'll find many things I enjoy.

Jerry, what do we need to do to get you motivated?

Bike ride next.
Haven't made plans beyond that.

Who has watched The Irishman?
Watched it last week.
Took two nights since it's 3 1/2 hrs long.
I enjoyed but wasn't very impressed with DeNiro's acting.
Pretty much had the same facial expression the whole movie.
Also think it could have been easily an hour shorter.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from So. Wisconsin. Rick, until last night when I saw a promo I thought the Irishman was a movie. No plans to watch it. TV lately for me has been a non-enitity, I just canít watch the shows other then q sports like hockey and some basketball and then mainly with the sound off.

Rick, if you discontinue that service do you lose all the music?

My wife is mad at me! See wanted to buy tickets for the girls to a Disney ice show and couldnít get Ticketmaster to work. Told her to buy them with my PayPal account which is where ALL my funds from selling trains goes. She came down to the cave and said you are paying for the Xmas gifts, stupid me said why? I may never recover from this one! Have a great day.
