Bob, looks like she's about ready to be launched and then fitted out. It's a looker.

Bob, just catching up with all of the wonderful stuff you've been making up for this ship.
It's all looking really amazing!
The more details that you add, the harder it is to believe it's made of paper.

Mike, Frank, and Greg, thanks for your comments, including the "paper-sides" remark. groan
[:-censored]

Well, like the cat said when he got his tail caught in the floor fan, "It won't be long now!"

I have the stern lanterns made and installed and also the anchors and their related gear.
All I have left to add are the swivel guns and they are made and I'm waiting for the paint to dry.

The last thing I think I will do is spray the decks with a flat finish and the hull
exterior with either flat or satin, not sure which right now.

Wow! Just WOW! [:-bigeyes]

Any chances for a sightly larger image so we can really appreciate the Craftsmanship here?

Pete, NO!! I don't want you to see all my mistakes!!! (just kidding!!)

It will soon be done and I will take it out of my shop to get a better background and lighting
for a couple of clearer shots and I'll try to make them bigger.

Pete, Dave, and Jim, thanks for your comments.

The paper shipmodel is finished.

HMS ENTERPRIZE
28 gun frigate c.1774

model scale = 1:96 (a very common ship model scale, 1/8"=1')

model length = 17.5 inches
model beam = 4.5 inches
model weight = 12 oz.

I figure the model is about 99.8 paper, only very small items non-paper. As promised, here is the list:
cannons & carronades - metal
swivel guns - wood, carved from toothpicks
mast stubs - wood
deadeyes and deadeye straps - plastic
capstan - carved wood
belaying pins - plastic
anchors - pastic
stern lanterns - resin & plastic
rudder chain - brass chain

Fantastic one model to be proud of for sure. If we did not know would never guess it was paper
rich

Bob,

Beautiful! What a fine job youíve done. Details like the cannon really catch the eye and by substituting your own you enhanced an already impressive model.

Bob, it's always a joy for me to watch you build a model, and this paper ship "Enterprize" was no different.
No matter what material you work with, styrene, wood, paper, they always come out looking FANTASTIC!!!
Congratulations on completing another beautiful model!
