Thanks, Mark!
Here in North America we use 16" spaces with centers being on studs.

Hi everyone, well I have a quick update tonight.
I've built the 2 end walls for this barn using the Fig.6A template.
Using the same wood that we stained for the 2 previous side walls that have been built.
Once again I cut the 3x6 braces before starting to build these walls over the templates.
This particular end wall has an upper door opening in it.(Shown below)
To speed things up a bit, I'm just going to show the completed wall built over the template.

I then did the same for the other end wall.
This one did not have the upper door opening to frame.

No sooner did I have these 4 exterior barn wall completed, when these local Mennonites showed up and started raising my barn's walls for me.

By the way here is a look at the flip side of the foundation showing the support posts under the floor.

I also noticed a little mistake that I made on the base for this scene.
The smallest piece of foam board 2 1/2" x 1 1/4" that I glued down was positioned the wrong way.
So I carefully cut it off, and glued it into the right position.

That's it for now.

Greg

You are doing this build with hard work and justice. Especially enjoyed watching the LP's do their thing. Can't wait to see it all come together
Is the roof all metal, or will you mix it up a bit?

Rich, thanks for your positive comments!
The roofing is varied using both metal and wood shingles.
The older part of the barn, the one I'm building right now will have wood shingles.
And the newer addition will have the metal one.

This is a super kit, didn't have the money to buy it when it came out, but am re-thinking it now. Your step by step is great, also useful to scatchbuilders too.

Thanks, Bob & Tony!

Bob, I need all the help I can get!

Tony, scratchbuilders are not allowed to look at the template photos.

Well Greg you sure are doing a mighty fine job on this.

An with the Mennonites giving you hand it won't be long at all. Maybe some of there Amish friend s will show up for the roofing!!

Your builds are so much fun to watch.

Thanks! Jerry, Russ & Bill, for your interest & posts.

Jerry, I try to make them entertaining.

Russ, those Mennonites boys are hard workers!

Bill, no Mennonites were harmed during the last photo shoot.

Nice Greg!
Did you buy the Mennonites or customize other little people? Great shot of your barn raising!

Thanks! Carl & Dave.

Dave, I did a little customizing on the Woodland Scenics carpenter crew set.
Had to paint all of their shirts white and pants /overalls black.
Then find some of them some straw hats to wear. [:-angel]

Dave, I think I once saw a Woodland Scenics packet of HO Mennonites for building a barn, but couldn't find them just now on the Woodland Scenics site.
However, there is item #1947 "Carpenter Crew" which are the same figures Greg has but in a different paint scheme.
