Greg,

The electric entrance and ivy look very realistic.

I must say, your photos show how amazing the stone looks both closeup and from a distance.

Thanks! Terrell, Jerry, Dave & Mike, it's always nice to read what you guys are saying & thinking, regarding the steps I'm taking to slowly complete this kit!
With now over 300 hundred photos taken to document this build so far, I sure hope it's useful to someone else building this kit.

Greg,

Just catching up on this build again. It's funny that you added the summer kitchen. My Mother said there was one on her childhood home, but I didn't know that a young lad such as yourself would know about them.
I like the added ivy on the corner of the house. Gives a more realistic, homey feeling.

Rich, thanks for your comments!
My brother-In-Law & his wife owned a stone farmhouse very much like the one offered in this kit, and it has a summer kitchen on the back of it.
It also has a bell mounted on the roof, that was rung to inform workers on the farm that a meal was now ready to eat.
I thought about adding that detail as well, but did not do it.

Greg,
A dinner bell would be cool mounted on a post around the summer kitchen area. Model your sister-in-law ringing it for dinner.

Greg - your farmhouse looks fantastic!

I resurrected a rooster bell that I found caked in bird droppings hanging off a truss in the barn. I mounted it by the back door and it has a lovely toll. However, with today's technology, my wife is always listening to podcasts with her headphones in while gardening, so I have to text her to let her know the jug is on for a coffee!

Really enjoying your build.

Cheers, Mark.
