WOW !! What a great subject, I love it. If I were not so busy I would jump into a 1/24 scale
build of it so we could run parallel builds again.

Pete, I just ordered some figures (finally able to complete it) but I don't think there's any gangster figures in there.

That would have been fun, Bob. I kinda thought it looks like a "Bob" building, too.

Terrel:

Very much like your choice for the bank, second floor especially. Less wild about the street level. Will watch with interest your take in it.

Hey Fred, that is going to be a class (A) bank! The perfect building for one, it looks like an old bank we have here on main street, built in 1898...good luck with it. Besides figures, what else are you getting from Walthers? Many time I have tried to order from Walthers, but can never find what I want, or they are sold out, back ordered etc...So, what is the secret with them...[:-bigeyes]

No secret, Ted, that I know of. Other than the figures I just ordered some scratch building styrene stuff. I've been using Walthers since the '80's. With very few problems. It may depend on what you are ordering. Usually if they don't have it in stock it's because the vendor doesn't have it.

Ok, my order finally got here yesterday. I'm off to a modest start.

I had everything sketched out on the foamcore while I was waiting. But I didn't want to cut out anything until the tile got here. My usual M O has always been to complete the walls before I glue them together. In this case I'm thinking that with all of the different materials (tile, brick, concrete, etc.) I'm going to be better off getting the walls together first so I can blend things together better. But this means I need to figure out what the left end wall is going to be. I know how it looks prototypically but I'm not going for that.

We can all see you do fine finish work. But the derelict version picture appeals to me more. It would be in contrast to the nice and clean structures.

Interesting thought, Frank. The way it's going you may get your wish.

Hi Fred. Another intersting building coming up. I did a similar structure from DPM. They have a lot of character. Looking forward to your rendition. I have seen that in several of the shows you mentioned.
