I think this is some of the finest modeling I've ever seen, and is one of the reasons I participate in this forum, to learn from the best and share what I can.

I'm not here for the insults about the younger generation. Don't paint us all with the same brush - I'm Gen X, the 'forgotten' often overlooked generation, born between 1964-1986. Boomers and Millenials get all the coverage while many of us Xers are just trying to earn a decent living and enjoy a quiet life.

Rant over, now back to Mayberry.

I decided to leave Mayberry. And go back to the tenement to add an interior to half of the first floor.

It's very hard to shoot, at least for me and this camera. Fortunately the interior is an insert.

The telephone is a magnificent Bob Santos creation. Bill Gill sent it to me. But I really needed somewhere to put it so I thought the tenement was the perfect place.

I should have swept the floor first.

Many thanks to Bob and Bill.

Fred,

Every time I get back to the forum I find that you have outdone yourself. Wow, this is amazing work. You should put a roller scate on the stairs.

Good "call", Fred! That interior is super. Real hinges on the front doors?

Fred, generally you don't see this amount of beautiful detail displayed on 1:48 scale modeling... It is more reminiscent of 1/24 or half scale, (Bob Santos, Ray Dunakin) and their inspiring work'.. You have created one of the most realistic O scale interior examples I've seen since I don't know when'...

AWSOME

Thanks, Carl, Rich and David !

The other Rich. I did think about the roller skate, the beach ball was much easier.

Thanks, Pete !

Bill the hinges are just images printed on cardstock.

Thanks, Ted !

Gorgeous work. The wallpaper is a great touch and the telephone is a real bell ringer. Everything is very neatly done.
