Thanks, Jerry.

The hip roof is shingled. I still haven't painted them. If I'm going to. I also haven't shingled the backside, I'm letting it marinate a while to decide if I really need to. But first I'll make two chimneys. The prototype picture shows one on the left and two on the right. My thinking is that the one on the left serves the left half of that section of the tenement and only one of the chimneys serves the right half of the section. The other chimney serves the left side of the next section which I'm not modeling.

Another disclaimer: the dormers should have the same siding as the rest of the building, I know that and can see that but I've opted out of doing that. This is an admission of omission.

That looks really good, Fred. I don't find an issue with the unpainted diamond shingles. I know this is an O scale model, so how tall is the beast? It is such an eye catcher.

Beautiful Terrell, I do not think I would paint them but that's a matter of choice.

The diamond shingle color looks good. They blend with the lower shingles and don't compete with each other. Let them marinate awhile too and see what you think :)

Chuck, right now she's about 12 1/4". It'll get a little taller with the chimneys.

You're welcome, Carl.

Ok, no painting the shingles.

Yeah, Bob the siding on the dormers is really not a dominant factor. In fact really hard to see.

And thanks to all for the inputs.

It just has the look of weightiness and heaviness - this is meant as a compliment. The building conveys mass very well. Great work!
