Appears to be shaping up nicely. And fitting and sanding makes sense, rather than trying to get the shape and angles all perfect from the start.

Good progress on the roof. Looks like you're on the right tack for getting it all to work.

Thanks, Guys !! I've got the front glued in place. It came out pretty well except for the right corner. I cut the right end piece correct but when I glued it in place it shifted a little too far to the rear. I noticed this before I glued the front on and tried to beef it up some. That came out alright but will need some work. But that's ok. That's why they invented wood filler. Or maybe I should say I'm who they invented wood filler for.

The roof basic structure is finished. And I'm starting on the dormers.

I made one of the dormer side walls to the dimensions I thought best. And from that one I made a template to cut the rest.

My dormer former.

I used up the scraps from where I formed the roof supports first, waste not want not. I'm building each dormer as a removeable box until they are finished. Much easier to work on that way, especially when adding the windows and glazing.

That is looking good! Will the second, upper roof section be attached to the main roof or will it be a separate, also removable piece?

Looks great Fred!

And you were hesitant to work on the roof?

Looks like you've got it under control to me! [:-thumbu]

Thanks Carl, Ted, Jerry and chuck!

Bill, I think I'm going to leave it removable. We'll see how it works out.
