I had to quit feeding for a couple weeks earlier in the year due to the grackles. You'd have thought it was free sample day at the methadone clinic.

Yesterday, september 13th, was my twin children's sixth birthday and we decided to go with them visit the Aquarium of La Rochelle, one of the most important in France. Although it's not exactly wild life, I thought some of you might be interested in seeing a few of its dwellers.

The Starfish image is so well composed, that it is hard to tell half is a reflection. Just a wonderful photograph.

The stars of the aquarium. Although I must say I am not particularly a fan of sharks, they certainly aroused a lot of interest in our children.

All the pictures were taken - at various speeds - with no flash. The image stabilization of new cameras is really remarkable. (Although it doesn't work when the subject doesn't want to keep still ).

Very nice, Troels. I saw a beautiful heron this morning just near the town, but we had no camera and couldn't shoot it. Anyway, it would probably have flown before we could take a pic...
