The room was full of pregnant women with their husbands.

The instructor said, "Ladies, remember that exercise is good for you. Walking is especially beneficial. It strengthens the pelvic muscles and will make delivery that much easier.

Just pace yourself, make plenty of stops and try to stay on a soft surface like grass ."

"Gentlemen, remember -- you're in this together. It wouldn't hurt you to go walking with her. In fact, that shared experience would be good for you both."

The room suddenly became very quiet as the men absorbed this information.

After a few moments a man, name unknown, at the back of the room, slowly raised his hand.

"Yes?" said the Instructor.

"I was just wondering.... would it be all right, if she carries a golf bag?

So a blonde was shopping in a variety store and found a thermos bottle. She had no idea what it was, but she liked the way it looked, so she took it to the checkout counter and asked the cashier, "I really like this. What is it?"

The cashier replied, ""It's a thermos bottle."

Puzzled the blonde asked, "What does it do?"

The cashier replied, "It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold."

The blonde brightened considerably and said, "That's fabulous. I'll take it!" She paid the cashier and happily left with her thermos.

The next day she arrived at work with her new acquisition under her arm. Another blonde saw it and asked, "That looks quite nice. What is it?"

The first blonde smiled and answered, "It's a thermos bottle."

The second blonde looked puzzled and asked, "What does it do?"

The first blonde replied, "It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold!"

The second blonde squealed, "That's fabulous! What do you have in it?"

The first blonde replied, "A cup of coffee and two Popsicles."

That reminds me of another jokeÖ

A news reporter was interviewing a guy who was celebrating his 105th birthday: "You've seen so many changes in your lifetime, everything from the horse and buggy to space flight. Of all the modern inventions and technological advances, what is the one invention that impressed you the most?"

The old guy thinks for a moment, then says, "I guess that would be the thermos bottle."

The reporter is a bit shocked and says, "Why the thermos?"

"Well, it keeps hot things hot, and it keeps cold things cold."

Still puzzled, the reporter says, "Well, yes, it does, but what is so impressive about that?"

The old guy gives him a look and says,

"How does it KNOW??"

:)

Hello all,

Just heard this old classic again on ABC radio this morning, and thought it might be worth sharing...

It's terribly British, and terribly 1934, but to my mind at least, it is still as funny and relevant now, as it was then. (Except that there are no more STEAM trains in general use...) [:-cry]

(Note also that I was not yet 'around' in 1934!!!)

Some of you may be familiar with it, but there are a lot out there who have probably never hear of English Comedian Reginald Gardiner.

ENJOY!!

Rick;

I just saw this and this is really cool. Funny thing is I was at my son's house the other day and we were experimenting with his new 'virtual reality goggles'. I didn't realize there were this videos available on You tube! Very cool stuff. And this takes it to a whole new level!

Anyone who hasn't experienced 'virtual reality' has GOT to try it out. Incredible!

When looking at the list of new topics here on the RRL Forums there is always a quote from someone (sometimes famous, other times funny) that catch my eye before going to the list. Today's quote was " What are the three words you do not want to hear when making love?" The answer was "Honey I'm home!" And while that is most certainly true, I think maybe a worse set of words might be, "Is it in?"

Just sayin'...

RE: virtual reality googles -- I wonder how they can get them focused when the display is so close to your eyes? Even when I was young and still had good vision, there was no way my eyes could focus on something as close as the end of my nose.

I sent that "Ancestry" site some information on my family tree.

They sent me back a packet of seeds and suggested that I just start over..........

If any of you like Foster Brooks, here is one of his best. Here he perfectly roasts Don Rickles, who cracks up often.
