I just got a new Iwata air brush and im having problems with it.
It just blows air. I thought maybe the paint was too thick so I cleaned it and just put straight thinner in it and it wont blow that.
Anybody have any ideas?

Which model? If it's a dual-action airbrush, you have to both push down and pull back to get the paint to flow.

When you pull back on the trigger, after you have pushed down to flow air, can you tell if the needle tip is retreating back inside the tip? If not the needle might be slightly stuck inside the housing or possibly the the tightening nut/nob may not be grasping the needle.

Thanks for the help guys. I will take another look at it. Its real frustrating when you are all set to do some painting and it doesnt work.

I have the Iwata Eclipse which is a dual action rig. As mentioned you have to push down on the trigger and then move it toward the rear of the body slowly...this will then add paint to the airstream.

Take a look at my vintage railroad postcard collection at http://www.railroadpostcards.blogspot.com
