Hi All:

As you know I have been given the honor to pre-build the new FSM kit each year. I will not bore you with flat wall photos. Here are photos of the main walls of the station. Hope you like them. The photos of the station are on FSM's site as installed on the F&SM. Check them out.

Karl, looks like another winner. Looking forward to your build. Nice to see George doing a railroad structure. If he did Franklin station next, it would be a big hit.

Hi Rob:

Yeah it's a pretty nice kit. It looks really great on the F&SM. I got the news stand interior walls finished last night. I think the platform is next.

Hey Karl.....

I've been lurking in the shadows....!! Been following many of the threads, just haven't really posted much lately. Also have been doing some builds (...for myself and clients).

Anyway, how have you been? You sure are lucky getting to do these builds for these craftsman kit manufacturers (FSM, FOS, etc.)!! I'm jealous!!

By the way, I'll have to make a point to stop by your shop sometime soon. Talk to you later.

Karl, this is one great looking kit with plenty of detail. It looks very long; can you give us an approximate length of the finished model.

Hi John:

The diorama is 6 3/4" X 19" without track. 8 1/2" X 19" with track. Here's some progress photos. Got the platforms done. On to the roof.

Huh??!!?? Your shop is only open on Saturday's now..? Is that a summer time thing or a permanent change?

One day a week no wonder you do these so fast. And being only 15 that's a pretty early age to retire. Life must be good.

But lets get back to the real thing. Nice work on that decks. Oh an is that you in thw window.

Oh I get it the rest of the week you work for the RR.

Hi Jerry:

Hmmm don't know how my age got changed. I'm 64 years old. I am retired and work fulltime. I work Saturday at the store and the rest of the week putting hobby items on E-bay. Thanks for the compliment.

Oh man, that stinks!! I'm real sorry to hear that.

When did that happen? Not to pry, but is it another case of a "brick and mortar" hobby shop losing out to the internet, etc.?? That's a real shame if it is. 'Cause that's a really great hobby shop.

I look forward to following this build, I was reading about its release in the finescalesminiature yahoo group and it caught my interest right away. I've been scoping out my layout for enough realestate for its 8.5" x 19" footprint.
