Thanks for the link, Ollie. Some really nice vistas in this page, and a few beautiful city scenes.

Is this his old layout or his current layout?

Well he is now having a smaller layout with the city section included from this old layout.... Here is a link to the new one.

Never the less the scenees on this old layout and the new one are cleverly done! It is rather nice to seeall the overall views to see how the previously photos of the scenes goes together.

Really nice to see Bob's work once more and know that he is still actively modeling. I was quite a fan of his modeling back in the days when he regularly appeared on PBS' Victory Garden, as well as the pages of MR. Always admired the degree of realism he captured in his mildly austere urban modeling, i.e. the way the real world typically looks as opposed to the far too often over-played caicaturish and cluttered style one often sees in the magazines and on-line. Much of my own urban modeling has a basis in Bob's style.

I do like his modelling, for the same reasons as above. It is good to see he is working on a new layout

Built a waterfront HO layout in Ireland http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22161 but now making a start in On30 in Australia

Wow, another Californian who moved out of state. I always enjoyed his work both in the garden and on the layout. His articles in the LA Times were always great.

Thanks for sharing the link. Bob's work has been an inspiration since I visited him in the 80's. I got to see his first layout that he rolled out of the garage like a wheelbarrow.
