Well I finally fitted one into a Steamer, and then for the loco that it would not fit, got an MC2-KA decoder with the KA1 keep alive device. Performance wise, both solutions worked very well. The MC2-KA/KA1 was easier to install because it was a much smaller package. Here is a short video showing their slow speed performance. It is really impressive in my view. The auto BEMF of the TCS decoders is great, and then the keep alive just smooths out any hesitation at all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBgCaBHZ8UU&list=UU2p1cqCGy-W5bPsoinOHZmA&index=2&feature=plcp
