Good Monday morning from the Jersey Highlands. We have a break from both the heat and humidity today, with high temps only reaching the low 80's today.

For breakfast there is fresh fruit, an assortment of cereals, and some fresh baked coffee cake to go with plenty of hot coffee.

We are in the process of getting our sons and grandkids on the road - they are all heading to our son's house in Michigan. Once they are off, I will be heading into the office for my first official day back on the job since I retired six and a half years ago.

Our new Photo Gallery Theme is MOW Equipment, so if you have any pictures, post them in the Gallery: http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=37246

Well, plenty to do. Have a great day.

Good morning, Bruce and crew. Looks like the weather will be a little better with temps in the upper 80's. I'm waiting for a call from my son-in-law. He needs to take his car to the shop this morning and I'm going to be his ride home.

Have a good day.

good morning Bruce, George and the rest of the RR-L crew when they get in.

Fresh baked coffee cake and coffee hits the spot this beautiful morning, thanks. Going to 89 today sure do feel for all the folks up north with no power and AC hope they will get power soon.
After chores I'll start painting the many many many detail castings in my Hap Hazzard kit. The further along I get the better I like this kit. Hope all have a great day!!!

Goodmorning Bruce, George, Mark and the rest of the RR-L Crew.
Moving a bit slow this morning as we stayed up late waiting for one of our sons to arrive, about 1 am. He's passing through on his way back home to Atlanta. So, they'll be three for breakfasts. Won't eat much, coffee and a piece of the coffee cake for each of us. thanks.

Got LOTS of work today and need to take Mary over later for a therapy session. Hate to think of what it'll be like if we really get old with the wheel chairs and all. that's after fighting with this stupid four wheel walker.

Everyone have a safe and fun day in the Train Yard.

Walt

Good Morning All!

Yummmy... A nice big piece of that coffee cake, PLEASE!
Been busy as heck lately, after spending Saturday doing Yard Work (the trimming hedges kind of YARD work),yesterday my wife and I took a ride down to Thomaston,CT to ride the Naugatuck R.R. It's a nice little ride although I was disappointed that none of the old NH stuff shown on the website was on display. There were just a few old box cars, caboose and a crane.
We also figured while right there that we would visit an LHS that is always listed in the backs of the MR & RMC. Found it, not open, even though the advertised hours said it should be. Must be Summer hours, better luck next time.
All in all though we had a very nice day together.

Stay cool you guys.

"What the heck wuz that?!"

Morning crew. Time for the morning coffee break so I'll have some of that coffee cake.

Maybe someone can get John to bring over a few of those crayfish for lunch. There's gotta' be someone here who knows how to cook them up.
John really wants to get rid of them from his lawn.

Computer glitches last night and couldn't get my modem/router to connect. Did a system restore this morning so all's OK. Except now I get this message that Windows must be re-activated within 3 days. Don't know what that is but hope it's something simple. I don't have a Key for this old XP system.

later.

Mornin' all!

Severe clear and 73 right now in the northern mitten, with temps headed north of 90 before too long. [:-hot] Good day to be out on the bay.... Enjoy it while you can! Coffee and coffee cake sound wonderful right now; it'll be too hot later to enjoy them.

I brought a few gallons of orange juice in; they're in the fridge in the back. Hoist a glass in honor of Courageous Bruce, who having escaped the nine-to-five lo these many years ago, has just Answered the Call and climbed back in the saddle. May it be a "short" and successful year, Bruce! [:-apple] [:-thumbu]

Make it a good one, folks!

No cool down in the palm of the mitten, 90s and little chance of rain either.

We had a crew of folks over for a birthday party for one of our girl's boyfriend's daughter. It went well even tho the Doll 'accidently fell' into the small pool that was up for the day. She said she still loves me so all is well.

Modeling is on the back burner again, I'm headed out right now for some errands.

Bruce, it doesn't seem like it's been 6+ years since you shed the shackles...the best with all that job entails.

Everyone have a decent day. Hydrate and find shade...

BE SAFE!!
