Nearly 10 years ago, an old friend Frank Bernard sent me some photos of models created by Karl. I have been amazed how many models he produces and today is still a very quick & prolific builder.

Yesterday I decided to see if I could start and finish a model from scratch and how long it would take me, excluding coffee & fag breaks and the occasional "grandpa" nap.

I had saved many drawings created by Troels Kirk, but I needed to create mockups for these, which would slow me down.

Then I remembered I had a "bucklist" mockup model which I always found sexy with all the various roof lines, floor levels and add-ons.

Sometime back our friend Paul Dundas wrote a thread regarding the same model.

So here are some prelim photos and hopefully completed structure within a few days.

Thank you for the honour Mario! Love these Tichy windows (used them on the Seaview hotel). Looks like it will be a suitable place for me :-)

Rick.

Where do you want me to go.
I get the message. [:-irked]
See Ya

I'll call 2mrw if you are home.

Troels.

Sorry mate. It's ( sort of ) not in your honour.
There will be a sign on the outside.

"Ann Kirk Seaside Cafe".

I saw your wife playing on YT and reminded me of the days as a muso. There were times on the coast, where a one man ( woman )would be playing in a cafe. Just wanted to say thanks for the many ideas you have passed on regarding your designs. Hope to build a few of them one day.

The windows are Grandt line. One of your very first projects had similar windows. None of this was planned. I've a stock of windows, saw them, thought of your work and "bang".. I had a theme........
( I lurk alot on your threads. I'll get locked up one day [:-fight] )

Just painted the windows, roof and weatherboard stops. Hopefully tomorrow I be nearly there.

Just about ready to watch another fours of "West Wing"....[:-hypnotized]

Much better idea Mario!! But do spell her Anne ;-) I'll let her know! I jumped to conclusions in a gigantic cloud of self-indulgence, and because you named me in the first post I'll go hide now :-)

I am really liking that, Mario. It looks kind of stylised to me - very tall and thin - but I love the lines.

Built a waterfront HO layout in Ireland http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22161 but now making a start in On30 in Australia

Kirk. Thanks for the spell check. I know what it like to spell a woman's name wrong [:-splat]

Neil. You know I like nice lines. Tall and thin [:-apple]

Jerry. IF [:-scared] I get this finished in 3 days it will be a record for me [:-party] and a thread that might not make 2 pages..
ie......No volume 2

Rick.

Our friend Paul has never recovered since the lose of his young boy, in a tragic accident.

I received the odd email, but very hard to contact via phone.

I'll try again this week and pass on the good wishes of the forum.
He has a big heart, but each day takes it toll on his health.

cheers mate

I've recived a few emails regardin the clapboard

Over the years I have purcashed various scale claddings from hobby shops.
I buy up whatever I see, as it is hard to come by.

I think the stuff I have comes from Northeastern lumber.
Enquire at your local hobby shop or contact the following suppliers
