| Andy, I always knew it was big, but these videos, shot from further back really show how much railroad there is. I had not appreciated how many decks you have. |

Nice vids to see how far along you are. I believe I saw Karl in one of 'em.

Wow, Andy, that is one huge layout. And you managed that on a cops salary with a cops schedule. Very nice and looks like fun.

OPS sessions can be fun there. Lots of trains and cold beer in the fridge...[:-smile_green] |

But for the record, Karl, being a retired law enforcement professional/expert himself, and being well aware of Rule G, realizes that the cold beer is for temptation purposes only and is actually a surprise Rules Test, so he never goes anywhere near it. Not even after the Op Session, when he has to drive home.
Right, Karl?? [:-eyebrows]

Neat video, Andy, that shows how enormous your layout really is - I had an idea that it was big, but not THAT big...
Must be hard to find a tool that you've misplaced, though....

Right, Karl?? [:-eyebrows]

Actually that is mostly correct, it is a 25 mile drive home through a wide variety of off the beaten path conditions and the constant peril of Mother Nature's most impetuous road kill candidates offering themselves up at the most inopportune times. |

Hi All, First of all, my buddy Karl does stay far away from the fridge but I catch him eyeing me every time I go by it!! Karl, I'm home and my keys are in their rack!![:-eyebrows]
Thanks for all the kind words. I really do enjoy going down there and finding something to work on until the next time I get to have a group of friends over to bring it to life.
Joe, the overall size of the basement is 56'x48' but not all that space is railroad. I'm beginning to realize that I should have started this when I was 18 to give me half a chance to finish it but alas, I meandered a little too long!![:-boggled]

Andy,
You don't want to finish it! Finish it and you have nothing more to look forward to, no reason to build anything, tweak anything and so on. Just keep on plugging, revel in the amount you've been able to do so far, enjoy watching it come to life, and plan on living a long, happy life. At least you're mostly out of the Heavy Layout Construction business and into Model Railroading! Be thankful!
And now it's time for Some of Us to go back to Layout Construction.... [:-boggled]
Now.... What did I do with that drill bit?? I just had it.... [:-banghead]

| Always enjoy a look at your layout Andy, and like everyone else said, it's difficult to comprehend the size, even with these videos. I have no idea how you've managed to get done what you have done. Looking really good! |

| You have to see his layout in person to really appreciate it. It is one of the most amazing home layouts I have seen. |
