Happened today, I guess I have been in denial for awhile, but it is too far gone to put it off any longer.

We moved from one state to another, and I went on down to the DMV to register the cars and do all that official type stuff. I handed over all the title paperwork for our various cars and when she got to my pickup, she asked if I would like to register it as an antique...

An antique...that can't be right. I mean, it was a few years old when I bought it - but I was still in high school then. It can't be an antique...

Yep, the first car I bought. The one which I had all my adult life and then some, is officially an antique. Apparently, so am I.

Now excuse me, while I try to figure out what the heck shuffle board is and how to play it.

I put down hair color brown. The clerk said looks grey to me. She was right.

Won't have that problem. Mine is in full retreat - has been since I was 21. They don't turn grey, they just fall out.

1. when someone younger than me made General
2. when I saw a female General (or in this case Admiral) that looked really good :-) (In this case, I first met her as a Lt Commander, and she was good looking then, too.)

(Both these happened about 10 years ago...)

When I turned 64 the weight started accumulating...and now no matter what I do it won't come off.

I refuse to give in, working on the cars these days seems to take a few more days to recover. I will be 51 this year but a swear i am 25 still.

When the grocery clerk gave me the senior discount -- without having the simple common courtesy to ask first! That was cold! [:-cold] And yes, I qualified for the discount.... [:-boggled]

Or maybe it was when I realized that I was receiving first-class, high-quality dental care from a high school classmate of my younger son.... [:-boggled]

I was watching an interview with a WWII veteran who was 87. That prompted me to calculate .. that someone my age NOW .. the year I was born .. would himself have been born in 1888. Sheesh.

I didn't think about it much, till I read this thread. Now I feel old! My oldest son is older than you, John.

Sean,

I'll be perfectly honest with you.

When I joined the Forum in 2008, I was 28.

I just checked my profile and I am still 28.

I guess I'll never get old.

Yuck, yuck, yuck.....I wish.

Old, I'm not old. It just takes me several moments longer to crawl out from underneath my pickup truck when I'm changing the oil[:-eyebrows][:-eyebrows][:-eyebrows]

When I had no idea who the people in pop culture were. I would see some pretty girl on TV and ask my wife who it was. She would tell me, and I would just go OK, and walk away still having no clue.
