Troels, As you know I have been model railroading for many years in 1/24 scale.
It's really fun to work on large models but they are also a problem in that one runs out of
room really fast.
I have great respect for you as an artist and I look forward to your dioramas, no matter the
scale or the subject matter.[:-thumbu][:-thumbu]

Troels

I love doing larger scales because they have such impact. They also allow more detail and texture.

Can't wait to see what you have in mind.

I can not wait to see what new adventures you have in store for us. I have been visiting some military modeling sites lately and I am thinking also about creating a diorama in some larger scale. Scott

Patience, patience. I won't begin building in 1:24 just yet. I just said that I have begun having the subject cranking in the old grey matter. I have some basic ideas, but until the pencil hits the paper they are just a soup of vagueness. I'm guessing october/november ;o)

The present layout still distracts me delightfully! In that connection, I ordered a Polish 1:50 plastic sailboat kit yesterday... If that turns out nice it might find a place along a wharf on the layout... And I finished the remaining part of black fascia last night.

Hi Troels, I'm just curious to who the maker of the sailboat kit is? Do they have sailing vessel kits that could fit HO?

Thanks,
Håkan

Håkan, the kits were just 1:50 I think, the maker Mirage Hobby. They had a 70ies racing yacht, and the one I bought was more fourties-fifties-like... I'll see how it fits in with some modifications!

Tonight I painted the fascia, made some water for the hotel's bathers on the beach, then just had fun shooting some photos...

Ray, the diner was actually inspired by an even smaller prototype (probably a converted old horse drawn street car...)

The beach water had set today, so bathing is now possible... still a bit too cold for poor miss Rose though. Dr. Püterschein seems undaunted!
