Thanks Troels

I've got a cheap spray glue but may try the better brand next time.

I need to refoliate one tree that looks almost bare. I did try spray glue then hairspray and didn't realise hair spray dissolved spray glue :(

There is a real life Neville Convers... the man I wanted to honour is N.C. Wyeth, father of Andrew Wyeth and one of the finest book illustrators and painters ever... He was a big man, and not totally unlike my statue...

His illustrations for Treasure Island are unforgettable...

Hi Troels:

The Wyeth museum is a wonderful place to visit. They even set up O-Scale trains at Christmas time. It's actually called the Brandywine Museum And is located in Chadds Ford, Pa.

THAT is food for thought.

About spray glue. I use Nochs sprayglue "Haftfix" which works very well and it is not terribly expensive.

Karl, did you know that the back of the famous Wyeth tempera "Soaring" once was used as a baseboard for Jamie or Nick Wyeths trains before it finally was recognized as a masterpiece? I'd love to visit Chadd's Ford one day...

Several years ago the Wyeths collected most of the Shep Paine dioramas (their own plus
borrowed from many other collectors) and had them on display for several months around
Christmastime. What a show!!!!
Not only are Shep's dioramas and setpieces outstanding, the museum really knows how to
display them to advantage. I wish they would do that again.

Troels,

The Farnsworth Museum in Rockland, Maine has the Wyeth Center, dedicated to collecting, research, exhibitions and interpretive programs related to three generations of Wyeths in Maine: N.C., Andrew, and James Wyeth.

A must see if you come to Maine.

Elliott, I wouldn't miss the Farnsworth for sure. Andrew Wyeth has been my favorite painter and a great inspiration for decades. He is actually little known in Europe, and I have been giving talks about him many times. If health and money permit, Anne and I hope to go to the convention in Maine 2016, and would then try also to get some Wyeth on the menu ;-) And then there's Winslow Homer...

Chadds Ford is 36 miles from Strasburg PA, where this years Fine Scale Model RR Expo will be held in October. This is the Expo that you had to cancel last year.
We had hoped that you might make it this year. And so close to the Wyeth museum.

I think this is my favorite NC Wyeth (it's hard to choose):

Troels, you have to come and visit Chadds Ford PA.

I know, I know Dave... but it is unfortunately not possible for me to go this year... I'll get the Wyeth revenge in 16

I think I had commented before that your palette choices seem to have echoes of Andrew Wyeth. My parents had a print of "Groundhog Day" in our living room, and of course I grew up with NC's illustrations in my own books.
