Good Friday Morning to all the Forum Crew.

Another workday beckons. Railbender brew is ready for your enjoyment!
Eggs, cooked to order. Plenty of bacon, sausages and ham slices fried up. Hash browns, oatmeal and grits are the sides. Fresh fruit on the counter, along with cat head biscuits, blueberry muffins and assorted donuts.
Drinks are in the ice tub.

Plenty of rain fell after sunset, last night. Things are damp and it's humid. Not sure about any rain today, but now it's forecast for the weekend. 40% & 30%, respectively.

I did get out and run trains for a while last night. I had two running the full mainline, one following the other at a safe distance, traveling East. I then ran a train in the opposite direction, taking sidings and holding, if necessary, for the Eastbound trains. As all turnouts are manual, I had to move a bit, but there was no "hurrying" involved. Had the Westbound needed to do any switching, then I would have had a few problems. It was a good way to spend the evening de-stressing, while it rained.
Needed to de-stress. I may be working Saturday, again, but won't know until late tonight. Can't make any plans, that way. Plus I'll be working on Sunday afternoon. Both part-timers scheduled to work, had things come up this week.
Not sure if we'll get the household shopping done tonight. If not, It'll have to be Sunday morning.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Michael and crew. Thanks for opening.

My work week is almost finished. Been a really long one, so I'm glad it's over.

I hope to get to the bench tonight then up early tomorrow morning to train for a mountain bike race I have coming up.
Looking forward to the weekend, that's for sure.

Hope you all have a great day.

Regards
Wes.
Dont leave for tomorrow what you can do today.

Morning Mike, Bright sunny day here and going to get real warm so I'm told.
I'll have a small helping of scrambled eggs, one piece of bacon and a slice of toast along with some coffee, you do deliver don't you?
Getting down to the last of the tasks in bringing out the rerun of Ships Chandlers kit. I have to cut a lot of pilings and also do the metal castings. that should just about do it and then we can start packing them.
Otherwise, not much else going on around here.
Everyone have a great and safe day in the Train Yard.

Walt

Good morning Michael and the rest of the RR-L crew when they get in.

Blueberry muffin and coffee will do just fine this morning, thanks. Another beautiful morning will get my outside chores done before it gets to hot. A buddy of mine is coming over this evening and we'll finish up the wiring on the layout, hopefully we'll be able to run a train.

Good morning Michael & the rest of the crew
Railbender blend coffee and a piece of toast to soak it up with. Then it's outside to drain & clean three ponds, fill them back up, then start construction on the addition to my greenhouse, weedeat the lower forty acres down by the creek, then, if there's any energy left, perhaps I will get some time on the workbench to complete a project if I don't [:-sleep][:-sleep] first!
Have a good day.

Good morning Mike and the rest of the crew. A bowl of oatmeal and a cup of coffee would be great.

We are in Milford, Michigan at our son's house for a few days. It looks like it will be sunny with temps in the upper 70's to low 80's the whole time. No complaints there!

Not much on the agenda other than watching the granddaughters play softball tomorrow.

Have a great day!

Morning crew, you too Walt. Sounds like your busy.
Mike, I know exactly what you are going through with part timers. Been there.

I'll have a couple eggs scrambled and some ham....hope it's Taylor.

Finished the customer job yesterday. Sun is out but I need to get some kit work done, so I'll be inside.

Good morning, Michael and crew. We have a nice spring day in store here in Hampton Roads, with the thermometer in the low 70's.

I spent some time at the club last night. Didn't accomplish anything, but had a good time talking trains with the guys.

I'm heading out for a bike ride. Have a good day.

As Bruce said bright sun and warm this weekend in MI, here at about 9:30 am its still a tad bit cool but very pleasant.

Some fried eggs, grits and sausage this morning, Mike, and maybe one of those biscuits and some fresh butter. Oooh boy that sounds like breakfast back at Grandma Sweeter's in deep South Georgia.

Payday today so it's bill paying day. Was a lot of month left at the end of the money this time. $2000 dental bill was not in the plans.

Gotta run, things to do.

Everyone have a good day.

BE SAFE!!

Good Friday Morning Everybody
Bright and sunny at 60 and we're heading to a bright sunny 80 today.
Thanks for opening Michael. I'll have 2 eggs, fried ham slices, hash browns, toast for the dippy, and a mug of that world renowned Railbender coffee to start the day.
Lots on the agenda for today, but I'll only get a few things done. I got a new flag Monday while we were at Wally World. It's made in the USA and I'll be flying it as soon as I run new rope on my flag pole today. The old flag I'll drop off at the Boy Scouts in Malvern.
I'm planning on some bench time tonight after picking up Donna after work.
Time for another mug of coffee and look over the forum. Have a good day and God bless

Good morning, crew!

Just coffee - black - for me, please ...

Clear, sunny, and lower 90s over the next several days.

Not quite sure of the year, but check out those prices ...

Have a good weekend.

Nice photo. My guess is around 1918. I found one reference that gas was 8¢ in Texas at that time.
Hard to find old prices as the websites have been catering to the federal gov't and now show everything in current dollar comparisons.

Thanks for the comment/info, Dave [:-thumbu]

I've been researching small gas stations for a corner of Mule Lip Junction, and the one I posted above, among a few others, seem to suit my idea(s) and approximate modeling era.

Check out this interesting website about vintage roadside architecture, including gas stations, diners, theaters, stores, iconic signs, etc. :
