Good evening all, I thought I should make my 500th post here in the lounge. There is a pot of beer cheese soup on the stove, with fresh made biscuits and butter. Iced tea, juice and coffee, help yourselves. Labbatt Blues, Lienies, and Sam Adams in the icebox. Steve

Good sun-shiny-day morning Crew.

AGAIN, it has been a few weeks since I logged in. Took me a while to find the new lounge yesterday and have been trying to play catchup ever since. Feels good to be back. I missed all of you and I see that there are a couple of new faces here.

Bill, Tom was a big help to me, in setting up my PM42 and Power districts. He took and marked up my track plan. It took me a bunch of rewiring, but once done it has really paid off and everything is running smoothly. If you have some specific questions, I will try to help.

Now, back to more catching up.

Good morning all ... thanks for the coffee ..

A little warmer here today with the sun trying to poke its nose through the clouds. The snow has melted.

Managed to get three sides of the school house boarded over. We will see what today brings.

Have a great day ...

Morning all.
Thanks for breakfast Andy.

I spend my Saturday modeling time reworking gears on shays. I have three shay that had a total of 9 cracked gears and one dead motor. I was able to get two shays with sound operating with one set of replacement gears and a little trading from the other engines. I have one scrap engine left over for parts or bashing.

Today Is the start of my Men's league Hockey play-offs. I better get my head into the game...

went over about 28 feet of track work fixing high spikes,
narrow or wide gauge and that sort of thing.....Nioe and sunny
for a change...but still the NE wind....JIM!!! Good to see you
still tollerate us.....I will let you know how I make out with the
PM-42....I ordered a third frog hex juicer as well.....they are the

WHOA! Steve!....Sorry i missed your post!!!.
Big Congratulations on the 500 milestone....
looking fwd to many more.....[:-thumbu][:-star][:-star][:-star][:-star][:-star][:-thumbu]
GM everyone...looks like it will be calm enough for some fishing
this morning ....South wind predicted as well...[:-bigeyes]
Cofee and water for tea on the stove...fire stoked and generating
some wood btu's.....Fresh busicuits & gravy on the warmer, along with
scrambled eggs & toast. On the MRR front today, I have to replace a
curve at the top end of the switchback....even the trusty Shay's have a
problen with the 14" radius.....trackwork is already made up to 18"
using the fast-track system, so it should be good to go later today.
Other than that, all trackwork completed tests out fine.
Have a good day.....stay safe!

morning/afternoon all.

thanks for coffee bill.

bit of a busy morning, been upto a friends to have some wood martin sent me cut up into strips ready for club this week. then down to the post office.
then ive just been modelling, pretty sure im "done" with the cassette/trailer board scenic wise. im sure i'll always add bits, but its good enough for the show. ive just fixed the trees in place now too. so i'll swop the boards over soon and get working on finishing that one.

one little niggle though, somewhere i have a spectrum box, with a dummy/dead porter in it. i need the box for porter number 4, as well as the dead porter, and can i find it? nope. i know where it was, and where it could be. but its not there, im worndering if my brother has taken it mistaking it for something of his/picked up by mistake because so far im having no luck :/ mhmmm.

Good Morning,
Not much on the modeling or RR fronts, I however did hear about this at the Hudson meet and decided to check it out. http://coloradorailroadmuseum.org/special-events-2/themed/goose-fest/ I have already purchased tickets, got hotel and airflights for it in June. I will be fun to ride in all of them, as well as climb around them. I know many the ON30 growd are not RGS fans or Colorado fans, but couldn't pass it up. More chances to see #2 as I get ready to model it and #7 this summer.

Hi everyone! I haven't even gotten to stop by the site, let alone do any RRing lately. I'm working on moving, so I had to pack up my projects. On30 and N scale. I was making progress on a 2-6-0 HO conversion, a scatchbuilt wooden flatcar (which I forgot to take pictures of before I put away) and making an HO "Percy" into On30 for the kids :-)
Hopefully between moving, summer vacations, changing jobs (well...units-I'm Air Force) I might get to see a train by winter!
Until then I suppose I'll have to model RR vicariously through all of you. Keep it up!

Good evening all! Took time off modeling to celebrate the 35 years since the evening when I met my wonderful Anne... we've had a very special evening with reindeer pizza from our wood fired pizza oven in the garden followed by Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris projected on the brand new 18 feet wide screen in our old cinema, sitting in the middle of the third row from the back, with the big dog snoring in his bed in the aisle... pure luxury!!

Have a great day/evening all!

Sounds cosy, Troels. Congratulations to both you and Anne on your 35 years. Obviously, your dog was enjoying the atmosphere too - with a quiet (?) snooze.

Best Wishes
