Can one of you gents draw a picture on how
to install "districts"? Will I need a separate booster?

If I read it right Bill, gues you have a PM42, you just cut your track in 4 powerdistricts (sections) and wire them through te PM42. Needs a lot of additional wiring. Talked it over lately with the groups DCC guy, also because the size of my layout and the 8A booster I have but he thinks it's not neccesary. As long as the buswire / feeders are heavy enough to handle the current...

now gone again....another dark/dank otherwise dismal day here again.
Gettin to old stuff .....I call it "BS"......
Anyway, today is clean up the bench, finish cleaning and organising the other
half of the layout and plan the final camp area at the end of the switchback.
Maybe some pictures later.....Coffee is on the warmer.....

Andy, here's the link, but I don't know if these Tomy engines are readily available, Finally here's a link to the Disney loco/mogul build.http://www.gcdesigngroup.com/basharcive_page.htm. Bill, we had a gloomy couple of days here in Michigan, but it is sunny and nice this morning, so that weather should be heading your way. I'm off to help with a school civil war program today, at this one the kids get to fire the muskets.[:-jumprefect][:-jump2][:-jump]. Here's hoping that everyone has a nice and productive day. Steve

Good morning all ... thanks for the coffee ...

Snowing here this morning.

I was away yesterday for a routine Dr. appointment so Bill I missed your call for help.
You need a pm42, wire the layout into 4 power districts. I have used one for about 5 years. They are the "cats meow"

Have a great day ......

Good morning everyone.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Martin.

Nothing exciting happening around here and definitely no modeling.

Been real busy approving new members that have migrated over here from the soon to be shuttered Atlas Forum.
Don't think we'll get any On30 folk but maybe we can convert some of the HO'ers.

Hope everyone has or had a great day.

As you think, so will you be.

Good morning everyone.

Coffee and hot water for tea are ready and since it's a bit chilly this morning, at least in Central Jersey it is, some hot oatmeal for breakfast.

Going to have lunch at my Mom's and then go see my nephew play baseball.

Hope everyone has or had a great day.

As you think, so will you be.

Since it is a cold day hear in Michigan, I have built a fire in the parlor stove. It looks like a good day to stay inside and work on models. Tonight I'll have to make a nice spicy soup, along with some fresh made biscuits for dinner to warm up the insides. How is the weather for our European brothers,is it about the same? The last of the Tulips in my garden are in bloom, next up will be the Peonys and then Irises, but the weather here keeps going from warm to cold and back, so the plants are confused. Everyone stay warm today!
