Good Morning all,
Finally back online, we lost power in that awful storm friday night about 10, and finally got power about 130 last night. I almost got up from a hot house and sat down to get my fix. I hope the rest of you are safe and sound...it was 104 here friday with heat index of 112.

I did sit down yesterday and look at the plans I got from Colorado. Plans for 6 and 7 are in 3/8 scale, we found a place to scan the plans and reduce them to 1/4 scale. Yahooooooooooo!

Good morning everyone.

Thanks for the coffee Martin and have fun with those bushes.

Les, glad to hear your OK and I hope everyone else who was hit with that storm is OK too.
The storm just missed us.
Didn't even rain here.

Another hot one today.
Leaving shortly to do my bike ride before it gets too hot.

Hope everyone has or had a great day,

Predicted to be 104° today here in South Carolina .. like others .. intend to stay inside (assuming my AC doesn't die from overwork).

morning all, thanks for coffee martin.

we had alot of rain this mornig, but cleared up now, quite sunny indeed.
i set the layout up today for one last time, on the stock boxes, gave it a quick clean and run, nice hight, glad i didnt make it any wider or i think id have had trouble leaning over to uncouple stuff. also a good thing i did, because for some reason, the bachmann long caboose was shorting out over the points. couldnt work out why, didnt like how the light looked anyway (showing up the silver insides....) so i removed the pick ups and the shorter backscene had warped a tiny amount, about 5mm, enough to make the joint look bad, so added a strip to cross over the back to keep it in line.

hope everyone has a nice day

Hi everyone,
Hot as the dickens here, trying to stay inside today after errands. Frig is empty, not keeping anything questionable. Going to the RR room in a bit to work on a couple of pieces. I hope by the end of the week to open a new thread on Goose #2 build. It will include molding of the car body, plug build (never done one)and the top to bottom build. Later a second build will be use of that car, converting it to either a Goose 4or5 and Goose 7. I will be using the resin car body to make a new master. Lots of fun planned.

stay cool, watch the pets..

Good afternoon everyone, thanks for the breakfast Larry.

Another Hot one here today, so I put some beer in the fridge, help yourself.

Les, waiting on my plans for Goose #6, it's in the mail.

Made a couple of turnouts last night as I need to add a couple of sidings on the layout. That will complete the track work and then the scenery can truly begin.

Have a great day everyone and stay cool.

Ron,
If you intend to scale the drawing down, we did it at Staples, they have a large document copier, spec 66% and check that the boggie dimension is 3'10". I used a dimension on Goose 7 to scale down, and since both are printed at same size I did both. Use your O scale ruler to double check size.

Thanks for the info Les, I usually like my drawings to be the scale that the model is in.

Good morning everyone.

Coffee and hot water are ready and help yourself to some muffins.

Another nice sunny day here today but not quite as hot or humid as the last couple of days.
Got lots of 1:1 stuff to do so I better get started.

Hope everyone has or had a great day.

Good morning everyone and thanks for the coffee Rick.

Ended up doing a lot of running around yesterday but did spend some time on the layout last night. I removed the rail and ties where the turnouts are going and glued down the roadbed. Should get some time at the workbench today.

Have a great day everyone.
