Good afternoon everyone! I've been busy preparing for a logging camp exhibit at the Frankenmuth Michigan Heritage and Heroics Festival. I'll will dressed as a logger from the 1880's, with a camp setup, and display of tools and photo's. There will be a nice sized pine log for people to try out the 2 man crosscut saw, and a buddy is coming up from Ohio to demonstrate hewing timber with the broad axe and adze. This event features soldiers and civilians from the Revolutionary War through Viet Nam, with a big emphasis on WW11. I'll post pictures next week. In the meantime, here's one from last year. Those guys scare me a bit.

We have been busy the last week+. Left Las Vegas last Friday afternoon, two Goldens and luggage in the back of the Grand Cherokee. Friday night in Flagstaff, Saturday night in Oklahoma City, Sunday night in Oakridge TN and Monday nioght in our bed in Ocean View DE -- 2600 miles. My wife and dogs are now "at the beach for the summer. Hot and steamy all week, drove 120 miles to Newark DE yesterday to have lunch with my almost 92 year old mother and returned around dinner time. Hit rain south of Dover so last 45 minutes was WET! We had huge storm most of the night -- lawn won't need watering for a couple of days 8>)) I have to fly back to Nevada tomorrow night but will return later in the week to kick off 4th of July festivities. July will be busy with my annual meeting in Coeur d'Alene and ABA meeting in Chicago, and political campaigns in Nevada. More of the same in August with prep for an appearance on two appeals before the Nevada Supreme Court thrown in.

Did observe the southern portion of the SG railroad here on the DelMarVa peninsula driving up from crossing the Bay at Virginia Beach -- hadn't been down there in 30 years or more. Shame it isn't NG 8>))

Celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary Thursday night -- hard ot believe that I returned to the US from RVN 43 years ago June 6. I'll turn 65 on July 9 so lots of memories to review.

Hope summer is kicking off in fine fashion for everyone.

Afternoon All,
I havent been around the lounge much, and what little RR modeling work I have done aint for me. But that too will change. Wanted to catch you all up on my health as some have asked. Well I am half way thru the 36 sessions of rehab, I do 25minutes with 2% incline on the treadmill, 18 minutes L3 with the bike, 5 minutes and increasing on the eliptical, and then a session of free weights to end it all 3 times a week. I have had no problems what so ever, weight is dropping slowly, and my BP and rest of the numbers are far below the norm. I am feeling good too. I do appreciate you all asking. Colorado was of no issue health wise, in fact it probably did alot of good mentally and physically. Stay tuned for some Goose 2 builds and maybe one other build if I can get the hours in the basement.

Good morning everyone.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Andy and Martin.

Nice sunny day here today.
Much milder temps too.
70's and 80's for the next few days.

Thanks for the pics Neil.
Those critter pics would look good in this months photography gallery.

Les, good to hear a positive health report.

Hope everyone has or had a great day.

Good afternoon everyone and thanks for the coffee Andy and Martin.

Like Rick the temperature is a lot more bearable but calling for rain later today.

Les, Glad to hear that you are well on the road of recovery.

Managed to sped a little tome at the workbench last night. Painted my Model T truck, started building a grand piano (an O scale one) and started to put together a Chivers 20ft way car.

Hope everyone has a great day.

The Olympic torch came to our town today.....

This was the best shot I got of it!
Unfortunately,He was only in view for about 30 seconds - pretty sure he thought he was in the 300 metres sprint. Quite a few people complained that he should have slowed down.
I've put some more photos up in my Google Picasa account if you're interested....
https://picasaweb.google.com/dandgbathome/OlympicTorchComesToWakefield
If thatlink fails to work for you, then try this.....
Google <http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/explore#utm_medium=embed&utm_source=pwalogin> and in the search box ( top right) type Olympic torch comes to Wakefield
Cheers

Rained like a buggar here this morning....Dark as 9pm here
at 08:00 am!!!! Lots of wind and rain!! Spent the morning
brushing up on the HTML and listing a few things on EBay...
Sure is nice, when you dont have to use thier offerings and
can use your own hosting for pictures. None of the auctions
I listed this morning cost anything to list, but I am sure
if the stuff sells, EBay will get thier share.....All have a good day
