Good afternoon everyone.
There was just a small puddle of coffee residue in the bottom of the pot so I made a fresh batch.
Sorry to here about your computer Les. Been a rash of that going around the forum lately.
Geezer, hope you get your leg feeling better.
Tom, hope you get a good report at your physical.
Thanks for the pics Steve.
Did some chores and my grocery shopping earlier and will do my weekly Tuesday night group bike ride at 6.
Hope everyone has or had a great day. |

Hi Everyone - Please join me in a hot cup of coffee and a croissant or two. The Tuesday Nighters came over for our fortnightly get together last night. The guys enjoyed ruinning some trains backwards and forwards between the two stations. One member, Darren, made up a train with a Bachmann 2-8-0 and ran it around to the next station where he parked it in a loop. We then sat down and had a coffee and pikelets while we had a yarn. Then one of the guys pointed out that the 2-8-0 was still moving so very slowly it was almost imperceptible. The NCE controller was showing zero on the speed dial. The Bachmann loco was straight out of the box. You had to watch closely for some time to see it move.
Tom, I hope your physical checked out Okay.
Sounds like a few people are having computer problems lately. I hope you manage to sort out yours Les. It is lucky you were home as the incident may have been more catastrophic if you had not been there to pull the plug.

Bill and Tom, I hope all will be well. The Mail Lady was very good to me today, I got a long awaited package from a deal I made at the Hickory NNGC. A very nice Yukom stern paddle wheel tug boat custom built from The Train Troll. Pictures of teh boat to follow this week end. The package also contained a number of parts to be used in the Mushroom mine. Larry |

morning all, tea, coffee and some toast on the side with a whole load of jams to choose from, help yourself!
larry, you normaly keep us waiting with these suprises, and with your new project i dont think we could even guess what it is you got :P
bill and tom, sorry, i some how missed the parts of your posts on your health, i hope all goes well and ends up well. i posted something in the mail weeks ago and the person said they never got it, checked the tarcking number and its apperntly being returned to me and was told to allow 2 days to be able to track its progress, 3 weeks on and its still like it, sent off a claim form for the loss, got an auto reply last night "thank you for contacting royal mail (fail) our offices are now closed for the weekend" what the heck? its tuesday and you're closed? and there is a bank holiday next week. i think i need to apply to a job with royal mail. would be nice to see how come our mail is so slow... (and this is where at 21 years old i sound old) i remember when we had TWO posts aday, one around 7am and the other 10-11am by the same postman! now we're lucky if we get ours before 2pm and it costs more *grumble grumble*
i also saw a thread here about a static grass comb thing from micromark for something like $6.95 and it was shown that its really an eyebrow/lash comb brush thing that can be brought for a buck, turns out my mother already has two so i now have one, it works quite well you know normaly i hoover the grass to pick up any loose bits and help it stand up, but in corners, like alone my fences it didnt work out too well, but this seems to work fairly well. |

Good morning all ... Andy thanks for the coffee ...
The trip to the city went well. I am good for a few more miles.
Andy, I probably purchase 99% of my Railroad on line / mail order. It is always a hurry up and wait game for me.
Larry ... a mushroom mine? I think I'll stay above ground. It is a warm sunny day here.
Have a great day .. |

Good Morning All, Wow I got several hours on the modeling bench last night. I am configuring a B'mann Mogul for a friend and bobbing a forney. I was able to bob the forney while waiting for all CVs to read. So 2 projects in work. The Mogul has a decoder it just needed to be set up with new wipers in the tender. The 2-4-0 will have a tender.

Good evening all!
Got the new plaster painted black before a beautiful evening sky begged for some filming instead of modeling...
A friendly inhabitant of our town gave us this fine photo today of our old theater, from the opening in 1904. IOGT owned the place until we bought it. The stage is bigger now, but the original portal is still there, although made larger and in a wall.

Bill,
I went thru that in '09 and '10. It took me about a year to make up my mind to get er done. I did not like the idea of anyone whittling on my eyes.
Everything went O.K.
If I had it to do again, I would not hesitate.
Hope your wife does great.
