Yup .... a little female. I'd better get her a life jacket. I'll need something to grab onto to lift her back into the boat. May not be bad this year but look out next year.

Good morning all .... coffee is on ....

I'll make a quick read of the forums, then I have to get ready to leave for our camping trip.

For my Canadian friends have a great long week end. For the US gang you'll have to wait until next week end for 3 days off.

Have a great day ....

Morning All,
Just a quick drop in for me, enjoying the pictures of the pups Tom and Mark...Great. We are working on new ones too...they will be labs of some sort.

I have noticed its pretty quiet here, with all the Atlas folks coming in, I would have expected a pretty busy forum and lounge...they are probably still getting going.

Still not much modeling work, I am working on some Tsunami 750 overheating issues, doing it with the Yahoo Soundtraxx group. Pretty helpfull and insight full to. First to make sure the amount of voltage on the rails, then to make sure that the 750s can be sorta heat sinked. This is a known problem with the 750s. For example I am installing the 750 Goose decoder in the Bachmann Railbus, a second install. The railbus has sub minimal airflow, no metal to heat sink. I have done a couple of things for this.

You all have a good day...Les

Afternoon gents....bit of a "blow" at the beach today...big rains all last night. Good day to be inside rr'ng....er, I mean "packing"![:-boggled]
We sold the house "for sale by owner"....nice Navy doc with a family stationed in Japan right now....coming back end of June.
House inspection is done and little stuff corrected. We are "good to go" so far but always ready for the next unexpected hurdle.
Didn't have to use a real estate agent at all....nice to save the 6%.
Packing up stuff we will really need and donating a bunch to the vets.
Been doing a lot of reading on the Maine 2'rs. Looks like that's going to stick for the next rwy I build.
Already starting to think of some scenes along the WW&F that could be built on some hollow core doors I have saved. I'll need a "fix" of On30 operation soon and the doors will work well with the flextrack I saved from the GRRwy.
I'll be busy the next 2 months....getting my rotator cuff fixed in eary June, then 4 weeks of recuperation and then it's the "Orange Blossom Special" for me! St. Augustine has a beautiful college built by Flagler. Probably lot's of FEC guys around....going to have to hunt up some "narrow thinkers" and pull them over to the dark side![:-batman]
I'll keep in touch.....KEEP BUILDING YOU GUYS!.....sully

Tom, Congratulations on selling the house so quickly![:-jump2] I'm just popping my head in for a minute, my son's wedding is Sunday afternoon, I've been busy with the preparations, and I'm helping to do a civil war program at a school tomorrow. If anyone happened to see "Extreme reenactors" on the National Geographic Channel, some of the guys in my unit were in several scenes wearing royal blue shirts, at about 35 minutes into the show. I'm not in the scenes which were shot at Manassas last year in 103 degree heat, I was in the nice cool hospital recovering from a colectomy. I'm not getting much done with modeling, between the yard work, wedding and my father in law's health issues, I've had my hands full. There's some hardtack, salted beef, beans and coffee for dinner tonight, courtesy of Secretary of War Edwin M Stanton, and the U.S. SANITARY COMMISSION. Pretty quiet here on the modeling front. Been busy
cleaning and prepping the Brooklyn home for sale or
rent (ugh!) Hate the thought of renting out, but it
is an alternative to the slow market for selling.
Thanks to all the banks here in the US....greedy
buggars!
Been putzin with a Banta kit, just to pass some time.
A bit chilly this morning, so some hot water for tea and fresh
coffee is o the stove. A bag of fresh bagels over on the
counter along with all the fixins!!! Fresh scottish salmon,
lite cream cheese and cream cheese w/scallion ....
I'll check back in later, maybe with a picture or two....

Good afternoon everyone.

Heading off to work in a moment but wanted to make sure before I go to wish Martin a very Happy Birthday and many more healthy ones. [:-party]
Also I forgot to menton yesterday how nice that cabinet looked that you made. [:-thumbu]

Tom, congratulations on getting your house sold.

Geezer, I'm starting to see more and more "For Rent" signs around here replacing "For Sale" signs.
It's a tough market.
I'd love sell my place but I'm going to wait a few years and hope things improve.

Steve, congratulations and good luck to your Son and his bride on their upcoming nuptials.

Hope everyone has or had a great day.

Tom,
Maybe you should sell realestate for a living.

Mark and Tom,
Great pictures of your dogs.

Geezer,
I was asked if I wanted to take a job in NYC, maybe I could house sit for you?

I am staring at kit boxes thinking hard what to build next.

Has there ever been a build thread on the JV Models Logging camp? I searched but did not come up with anything. I was thinking of building the eight structures in the kit and a placing them on a micro layout.

Larry

Morning all, coffee's on need some strong stuff after celebrating my B-day. Survived it ...made a start on tearing down a few modules in the first trainroom. Gonna build them in the WS..clean out the other room. Start on spraypainting the Noa's Cove modules cupboards...
