Since I'm just getting started in Sn3, I thought that I would start a thread showing my adventures.

Here are a couple of photos showing my PBL Idler flatcar and my Downtown Deco Fallberg Station-

Since I am a little diesel kind of guy, I have a few conversions in mind and hope to get started on something within the next week.

I'll post more later!

I'm going to the not-so-local LHS this afternoon to pick up a few things to start on the first critter bash. I've given this a lot of thought and the mechanism I've chosen can be converted to Sn3 - I've done the gauge conversion before. The identity will be a secret until I get started on it!

First though, I want to finish the idler flat. I should be able to get it done this weekend. Man, I love PBL kits!

It's nice to see one more Sn3er show off his models on the forum, Chuck.
Despite its rather simple appearance, this PBL flat has a lot of features (such as the structural rails below the outside sills and there pesky brass holders) that make it a 'non-instantly build'. Your model looks very nice.

Well - I didn't get the flat painted; sometimes other things pop up! I did get a bit more benchwork finished and I built an OMI C&S boxcar kit. I figured I'll paint them both at the same time!

I'll post a pic of the undec boxcar tonight. I WILL get the two cars painted this weekend!

The little diesel project should also begin sometime within the next week.

Thanks Frederic! Yes, there was quite a bit of work that went into building that flatcar. Now I feel like I need to build another and a pipe gon to go with it!

OK...here are two photos of my OMI C&S boxcar. I received a couple of OMI Sn3 kits in trade for my HOn3 ventilated boxcar. This was also a fun build.

While taking these photos, I noticed that I forgot the grabs on the walkway. I'll take care of that before painting!

Thanks Frederic! The trucks came with the kit. Since the OMI kits were made by Grandt Line, I would guess they are Grandt trucks.

Hey, Chuck...That looks like a C&S prototype car judging from the trucks, door, etc. Great looking build and I particularly like the detailing. Hmmmm....I should consider tracking a few of these down.

Thanks! Yep, it is a C&S prototype and that's the way I will letter it. This really is a good kit and I enjoyed bending all of the grabs[:-bigeyes2]! Too bad they don't make them anymore.

I know PBL has a C&S boxcar and a reefer. Has anyone built either of these?

I also received an OMI C&S gondola...long out of production and I'm not sure anyone makes it anymore.
