Handrails seem to be a sticking point for me, I can never get them installed straight or level... The ones you found look like they should work well. Also looking forward to your next update.

Yeah, I've been building quite a bit, but I also sold all my digital cameras, so no pix for a while...

Yeah, I've been back at HOn30 quite a bit, in various stages I've got a new boxcar, flatcar, snowplow and a Forney in the works, all based on Maine two foot prototypes. I've become (again) distracted with 1/72 scale military modelling, which has crossed over to model railroads with a few OO9 builds thrown in for good measure. And I still have a Bachmann 70 tonner that deserves a good bash...
I have my eye on a new digital camera so some pix are forthcoming.

I have cut out the handrails for the sides of the walkway and the rear of the cab.

You may also notice that I've installed triangular braces next to the steps.
For the heck of it, here's a photo of one of my cats, Spunky, laying on my modules. A couple of my cats like sleeping there, so I keep the modules covered with an inexpensive painter's tarp.

| Good to see progress being made! Curious to see how the handrails turn out. |

Some more progress made. I've drilled holes and fitted handrails on one side of the loco, plus the handrails for the back of the cab.

I have yet to glue them in place.

Looks great Jeff, what colour are you planning to paint the frame?

Cody,
I think I'll paint the walkway green and the frame and pilots yellow. Time will tell.

Jeff,
The modified hand rails look like they belong there. |

Yes, Bruce, I was surprised at how good they look.

A sidestep here. I decided to paint the frame yellow to see how it would look. I primed it with Testors yellow in a spray can.

I will paint the walkways green, and most likely paint the frame and pilots a different shade of yellow.

Looking good!
You might consider a somewhat darker shade of yellow.... MEC "Harvest Gold" might work.
And yes, I really like the way the handrails have turned out!

Since the body is MEC Pine Tree Green, the Harvest Gold might just work.
