Martin,
I like the plan for the second room, lots of potential. I did do a double take when I saw thew name of Mara on the plan. Looks like Mara on the Clearwater Valley Railway Co. will have a sister town, very cool.

Thanks Ron, not completely satisfied about the plan, just need to make it a island. Sistertown Mara, cool, just named the town after my little niece just like Noa's Cove...maybe we should swop a few cars in the future.. |

| When I come to that corner shipbuilding will be a possibility...the quarry is a slate one, so slate finishing and shipping is a must have. There comes the huge derrick... |

Just so you understand what I meant, I was suggesting something like a company town with houses as well as several structures associated with the industry. You have many very interesting, but small, industries and customers for your railroad and is was suggesting something bigger and more complex that processes raw material through to finished products with elements shipped at various stages.
Taking slate as an example, you qauarry slate and ship the raw material to the plant, where some gets loaded and shipped raw. Some more is made into large finished sheets and is also shipped. The sheets are then made into, salte roof shingles, slate floor tiles, slate school blackboards, and slate school slates!, with each having processing, stoarage and shipping facilities as required. All those school slate and blackboards had to come from somewhere.
If I'm telling you something you already fullt understand, I apologise. |

| wow great looking bentchwork. (well is that any shocker? you are a woodworker by trade :P) and the track plan looks great, however, one thing i would change personaly is, in the middle pic, the 1st point after the track comes in from the edge. i would almost be tempted to change it for a curved point if one would fit and work, the one fitted just looks a little strange in that angle. |

Benchwork of that neatness and quality is cheating!! You're getting a nice, big layout now |

OK Martin, now you are putting the rest of us to shame building benchwork like that. Looks great though as does the trackplan.
