Yes Marty, the rock are fine. I would be quite happy with them on my layout. The thing that gives foil rocks away to me is sharp edges and you've avoided them.

Pfffffff almost done rocking up the coastline on 3 outa 4 stil a small part on the end where it joins the other module..

the joints have to look like this, joint between module 2 and 3...

Also worked a bit on the rocks to the tunnel entrance, bit of practice to for the slate quarry. Wanted them to look like blown, cut and hacked...

think I leave the rocks for a moment now and start on painting or something

Selling ready made rock ? Or the moulds...lemme think about that. On the other hand the hobby turns into work and I already did that with furniture making...

Added another scenery piece to module 2 today. Been thinkin about it for a couple of days now how I should fill the wye. Decided to go for a big chunk of rock. It also functions as a viewblocker looking at the tunnel entrance and the bridge when I put some young trees on it. Works two ways because it blocks a part of the view on the bay that's under construction when the cameracar comes out of the tunnel....

Decided to give this a slate look, like the RR uses the old quarries to lay their track through

Thanks Bill. Think I change subject and do a Lord of the Rings layout. Done with scenery then, presenting you Mordors Cove

Ok still this white chunk of rock, did the plaster job today and will paint it tomorrow...

One ring to rule them all...
Change the theme to Steam Punk LOTR perhaps?

Looks very good! Must try foil rocks someday.

Would be a great project indeed. How high would be a hobbit-passenger car?

N scale along the z-axis, O scale along the x and y-axis... Although I think it might be too disproportionate. HO scale on z-axis would probably be better... [:-spin]
