In addition to our human and mechanical companions (yes, I talk to my steam loco at times), we have our animal companions.
Ladybird was the pet of a good frined who died suddenly. With no-one to look after her she was going to be destroyed; couldn't let that happen. She joined the pack.

Myles (black and tan) mostly blind Tallie (black and white) deaf Bonnie Blue (brown and white) one eye Lucas (fluffy) teenage owner found girls, no time for dog! Tucker (big boy) annoying barker is locked up alone for hours!
All six have been rescued to a better life. |

John,
Got to love the King Charles Cavaliers. Here is a shot of Charlie (Price Charles of La Porte) taken last week. He loves snow; but loves sitting on Joan's lap more. Didn't know they shed a lot

Her is Charlies' little friend, Cocoa (Hot chocolate with marshmellows) the Papilion. He likes snow also; but like to snow dive for rabbit pellets. The Papilion is known as the yappy pappys

| Myles has some English Toy Spaniel and we don't know what Lucas is mixed with. We describe Ladybird as a flat-coated counter surfer. (some chow we think) |

| The dog in the top picture with the brown spot on his head (Tucker?) appears to be a King Charles by the brown spot on his head. Aledgely King Charles kissed this breed of dog on the head, hence giving it the name King Charles...spaniel |

Oh yes, we know that. All five of the smaller dogs are at least mostly Cavaliers. Tallie, the tri, is an AKC registered dog and had two litters before her plumbing failed.
We belong to a Cavalier rescue organization. Two earlier dogs have died. |

Steve, I've been thinking about starting a thread like this for a while now, so I'm very glad that you did it.
This is Sarah. I had some company stay with me over the summer and it was their dog. When they left they, couldn't take the dog with them, and I was more than happy to keep her. She's an awesome dog with a great personality. As far as I know she is a mix of a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a Basenji, both breeds are African hunting dogs.

Here are our two pets in their usual state of relaxation.

Of course, the black cat likes to go outside as well, in the warmer weather, to do . . . just about the same thing. This time he's asleep on my wife's truck!

The grey and white tabby prefers soft, warm and cozy confines like freshly folded laundry.

Thanks for looking,
Michael |

Wow, you brought up a sad subject for me. We just buried two of our beloved dogs, a story too dificult to get into at this time. I've had a broken heart for the last 2 days.[:-cry] Thank goodness that we have more 4 legged friends to love and give us love in return.

Silly Darla passed away last year at 19. She used to love to hang off the edge of a chair like this and dare you not to smile.

Here's our 2 fur baby's, Janet (yellow lab) and Ben (lab and something else).
They love helping me haul up logs to cut up for fire wood. |

Silly Darla, meet Della d'Oro.....

...ok, uprite, but wet...

...and with friend...

Newest addition to the family is Nubbins, named for her bobbed tail...

...please note the 'beauty mark' that fell from above her mouth to below her mouth. Other than that she is pure evil...(wink)
Andy and Dave, sorry to hear of your losses. These furry friends really know how to creep under our skins...and into our hearts.

That's Clancy in back, my best buddy for 12 years. We lost him suddenly to cancer last December 4th. Molly, on front, joined our family last summer. No surprise, my modeling has lots of dog hair in it.
