It'll be interesting to see what you do with all those metal castings.

Have you ever broken the seal on a new kit and built it?

Oh, what potential!

Precisely why I snagged it - great potential play value here!

Probably use them as intended,

Been a long time and it seems not to be a great necessity, . Most kits that I have don't have seals on them, but there's been a few from B.T.S. that were shrink-wrapped,

Great job on both the reefer and the gondola, Martin. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the caboose.

Martin,

If our hobbies were our jobs I think youd work in a rehab center fixing broken lives. Id be a plastic surgeon because I like taking perfectly good kits and making something different with a little cutting here and adding-on there.

I can see another fine model in the making.

Mike

2 steps backwards. Had this in a box on the chair in my shop, was balancing out some resin, lost my balance and fell backwards catching myself elbow 1st into the top of the chair....[:-nonono]

Going to be a bit of bigger rebuild exercise than where I was going to start from.........[:-banghead]

Oops. At least its reconstruction of the caboose rather than reconstructive surgery on your elbow.

I've got some elbow problems already, but that's the other elbow. More critical here was my back on the final landing, and while scraped up a bit, no real damage. After the cataract surgery, I'm still not quite where I was on balance, perception, and localization.

All this started right after the eye surgery and I'm still adjusting - I'm just not quite as sure of where I am in a room as I was before when I was so near sighted that I had to know where everything was to navigate. I'm just re-calibrating,

Fast forward a bit and I have it all reassembled and many of the detail bits have been added to the main body.
