Just out of curiosity, did you install the tunnel brake on the opposite end from the vertical brake staff?

That was still a common feature on PRR house cars at this point.

Ok, not a passenger car per se, but what then is deep enough?

The exterior sheathing is probably too thick and the wall framing too thin. Hard to correct both w/o just building a car from scratch.

I've built a few cars with the correct framing widh as well. Can be done.......

Exactly so - XL boxcars that were converted to MoW cars......but in O scale. No kits produced for them; just a good article w/plans....

All back together, coat of paint on the body and glazing added. Now to get the rest back together; roof is just resting on the body. and cupola is loose, but painted and glazed.

Thanks, Bruce & Mike!

This one had been in the wings for a while and I finally got it out of the queue and got'r done,

Turns out it's a Cotton Belt prototype, and now I've got 2 of the things! I was able to do a serious upgrade on the trucks for this one though - there's a set of Walthers Sierra car trucks on it.

It'll probably be on my table at the next Strasburg meet.

Off to whatever is next in the queue.

Have no worries about that - I have to just to get them out from under foot and then out of the house.

Both of these have problems and errors, some I'll fix and some I'll "improvise" about, and some that I'll just ignore.

Had to pry one apart and re-glue the entire side back on already; one has metal cast stakes & pockets, the other not and so looking for stake pockets that will work - joy of adding nbw's to two entire stake sides...

And, both cars have the same number.....[:-banghead]
