Greetings Folks,
I've been at it for a while but I never really seem to make much progress on my HOn30 Saco River & Newfoundland railway. I don't have any space at all for a layout at the moment, so I've decided to try and get some of my rolling stock finished.
First up is the newest piece added to the fleet, a Steven's Creek Monson 26' Flatcar:

This is a scratchbuilt boxcar made up of styrene and the usual detail parts:

And here's a trio of older bits all assembled from Chivers kits:

I have a half finished reefer being made from a cut down Grandt Line kit and another low side gondola nearing completion. I'll try and keep y'all updated as I finish bits.
Cheers,
-Cody |

Here's the other low side gondola, built over a Chivers flatcar frame:

The coal is freshly added with some lettering and weathering to be next.

| All nice cars, Cody. I'm particularly drawn to the Steven's Creek Monson 26' Flatcar. I'm a sucker for short flats with small bulkheads. |

Thanks Gents!
Me too Bruce, I'm thinking about scratch-building a couple more of these. I really like those short bulkheads too.

Nice work, Cody. How long is the scratchbuilt boxcar?

Thanks Larry & Jeff!
Jeff, The boxcar is a hair under 29 feet. It was built over an N scale Micro Trains 50' frame.

Cody, all these cars are beautiful, I like the size and the weathering. Makes me want to get back into building equipment. Please post more pictures if you have some. I love pictures.

Thanks David,
I'm forever torn between O and HO scale and most of the progress I make is in fits and starts. I did manage to stick some more bits to my cut down Grandt Line Reefer which unfortunately wont get any primer until spring and I can get outside with my rattle cans...
I still have a Steven's Creek Monson boxcar to build and some motive power to build/finish... I'll keep updating this thread as I go.

Howdy Folks,
Here's a quick update and a couple new pictures of the latest rolling stock for my SR&N.
First, the Reefer I mentioned before using cut down Grandt Line sides and detail bits, scratchbuilt everything else and freshly primed:

And another 28' flatcar, scratchbuilt out of wood using a Steven's Creek lasercut deck:

I have some more stuff in the works, more soon.

| Nice additions to the fleet, Cody. BTW, what do you use for the truss rods? |
