Neil Innes - I Don't Believe In Santa Anymore

To act in the world is the only way to understand it. In this life it is given only to God and his angels and poets to be lookers-on.

Good one Martin. He also does How Sweet To Be An Idiot. It applies to so many, I guess I best keep quiet.

Neil Innes has written a huge number of very good and very clever songs, and also a goodly number of very good clever songs.

Martin, I am reading a very funny Tom Drury book called The End of Vandalism. Published in 1994.
Like a calmed down Fargo (movie and TV).

Just heard the sad news about Dolores O'Riordan lead singer from "The Cranberries" has died at the young age of 46, no cause of death has been released yet.
She indeed had the voice of an Angel.

One of my favorites from The Cranberries.

That's shocking news, Greg. My band plays "Zombie" by the Cranberries. Another great is gone...and at such a young age!

Went to see The Moody Blues Saturday. Great show. Was very happy.
Learned Delores O'Riordan died Monday. Was very sad.
Went to see Harry Belafonte speak at USF (Tampa)Monday night. He was as always wonderful. Was happy and sad.
I love Delores O'Riordan. I like to learn as much as I can about people. She was special. Terrific back pain caused her to cancel to major tours in 2017.
I saw The Cranberries five times. All incredible shows. The best may have been Dec. 18th at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby.
In was a week before Xmas in 1994, the year the song Zombie was released. If you are a fan than you know what the song was about. Over 665 million views of the video.
Eminem sampled Zombie.
Mike you band does Zombie. Right on brother.

I am still sad.

At 73, I must admit that I am a staunch Marilyn Manson fan. Here's a little example...

John, Today is my 75th. birthday. I had someone ask me how I remember all the concerts I have been to. I remember most of them with a little help from Barbara. One I mentioned was at The Troc in Chinatown (Phila).
Jesus and Mary Chain, Nine Inch nails and The Henry Rollins Band. How do you not remember that?
Rock on brother.

Ed, you sure do go too a lot of concerts!
And you seem to have a vast knowledge of music & musicians.
I never had the chance to see The Cranberries live.
So lucky you for seeing them as many times as you did!
Happy 75th Birthday!

Mike, I must really come and see you guys/gals play in your band!
Sounds like my kind of music!
Does the band ever play in the Kitchener/Waterloo area?
