Thanks to everyone that expressed their condolences in regards to my Dad.
I appreciated your sentiments very much.

I found these two videos last night.
They were filmed in the studio as Mick and the boys were working on Sympathy For The Devil.
I found it very interesting to hear where they started and how they arrived at the version we're all familiar with.

I accidentally stumbled onto this artist on youtube."With a voice that sounds like the reincarnation of an old gospel preacher from the 1920s and a fascination with sin, death, and redemption to match, William Elliott Whitmore is one of the most unique artists to emerge on the Americana scene in years." I really like his style and gritty voice.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nECtWsah2po

It is nice to see a group take traditional music like a sea shanty and give a new spin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN4k_yyTUZE&feature=related

Found out yesterday that Jon Lord, Deep Purple's keyboard player, had passed away.

In tribute I thought it would be appropriate to play this one which he co-wrote.

A sad day indeed...

Of course, for sartorial splendor do check out Buck Dharma's ever so lovely gold jump suit.......

Should also note the passing of Kitty Wells at 92. She was the 1st female country singer to reach the top of the charts in 1952 with "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels"
