Looks good bill. Don't forget to build your tunnel liner before you add the mountain. It is nearly impossible to do it later and with the location of your portal the inside will be visible. [:-thumbu] |

Only 276 ties, but I have one lead spiked to the tunnel, and new subroadbed down for the new lead for the T/T....plus 2 #5 turnouts built & installed.
Not too shabby....

Laid the ties & roadbed last night, spiked the rails & turnouts this afternoon, after 1:1 chores. Reason for the new urge to have hand laid rail is that on the first side of my layout, the trains run without problenms....on the second half, using flextrack, I had more issues with derailments and keeping the joints in gauge. Anyway, I will fight my way though this....even when I get around to the switchback and staging yard.....(Wharf"????)
Anyway, thanks for stopping by, it's back to Brooklyn for me for two weeks.... TTYL

Havin "withdrawals" here! been putzin with weathering the deck of a flat car.....pictures are too dark because they are taken with the cell phone.
Will post better pictures when finished..... and, here's my very first attempt at making a tree.....
Tree is 15"-16" tall [:-bigeyes]....Bragdon leaves.....again....cell phone excuse... I have about 30 3/4" dowels ranging from 10" up to 18" that I plan to turn down to size on the lathe.....will save a few bucks and get a good supply of background trees.....Thanks for comments & stopping by.....
